It’s been a few years since Captain Mustache took a ride with Kompakt – 2021, to be exact, when he released the “Everything” single, and subsequently made an appearance on that year’s entry in the Total series. But this visionary French producer has been busy, indeed fiercely productive, ever since, appearing on Helena Hauff’s Return To Disorder and John Digweed’s Bedrock, collaborating with Dave Clarke, Popof, The Advent, Paris The Black Fu, Keith Tucker from AUX88... and two beautifully eloquent albums, Tourbillon Nocturne and Indigo Memories. But with The Super Album, Captain Mustache returns to Kompakt with his most sublime collection yet.

On The Super Album, the Captain soundtracks an imagined “whole day for party people.” He welcomes friends old and new on board: opening with the poetic club banger of “About Love”, with guest appearance from Speakwave (aka dynArec), The Super Album shifts gears into the lush, sunny “Shifting Basslines”, where Captain Mustache’s pulsing electro-disco is the perfect fit for a third collaboration with electroclash pioneers Chicks on Speed.

After the deep techno pulsations of “Laser Me” and the glitzy pop shine of “Gimme Ya Mustache”, more guests arrive: Arnaud Rebotini of Black Strobe on the slinky “I Love Watching U”, and then a spoken cameo from the truly legendary French disco diva Amanda Lear on “Mustache Of The Universe”, a glitzy glitterball of a song that’s shrouded in ghostly synths.

The legendary electro pioneer and producer of the 80’s cult hit ‘Problèmes d’Amour’ Alexander Robotnick then brings a stripped-down, subtly retro remix of ‘Amore’, with metallic echoes and a smooth bassline that perfectly underscore the sensual lyrics. 

The artists met at a rave in 2013 and have been pushing boundaries ever since with their unique blend of new wave, late 90’s electro, and elements of 80’s disco. This new release comes after a busy year for the ever-prolific trio, following the release of their globally acclaimed debut album ‘Rimini’ which promptly sold out and received rave reviews for its effortless and refreshing blend of Italo, New Wave, Punk and Electroclash influences. And what a debut it is: Four really really strong tracks to let all bells ring indeed. »Backing Track« isn't really aptly named as this track isn't for backing - it is for strictly dancing and spacing out on the floor. No prisoners taken here. The Zillas gear down a bit in »Ether Drift Theory« but of course keep the customers satisfied with a dark and solid number. »Mister Wonderful« features some wonderful breakbeats at the beginning until the bass drum and the acid madness takes over. Last but not least we enter the »Portal To Nowhere« - what a tune! Dark wobbling bass lines, spacey synth sounds, lovely claps - all the right ingredients necessary for a fun time at your local club of trust.
Zillas On Acid already made their name as a Philadelphian institution but now they will take over Europe by storm - thus we guarantee.

With the first EP of 2025, Madd Rod opens the year's catalogue in power. The artist finally releases the long awaited 'Make You Sweat', tested and continuously rearranged through the last two years. The track blends Indie Dance with Electroclash, exploring an EBM-inspired bassline, and the artist's own vocal hints. The production comes as quintessential Rod — heavy analog synths with an abusive amount of chorus and saturation. B-Side ironically titled 'Leisure Suite' comes as Rod's fastest production, reaching 1409 BPM in some parts — expect nothing but heat, messed up synths and an intentional lack of groove. Who can groove past 140 bpm anyways?

Captain Mustache is a French music producer and DJ from Paris.

Since 2020, he has released music on some of the most respected labels in the electronic scene: Kompakt, Mobilee, Exploited, Permanent Vacation, Helena Hauff's Return To Disorder, and an album on John Digweed's Bedrock Records, with consistent support from top DJ's around the world.

As a true electronic music lover, he has collaborated with some electro icons (Dave Clarke, Arnaud Rebotini, Chicks on Speed, The Advent, Keith Tucker from AUX88...), adding an extra vocal dimension to his music.

In 2023 he reached a career milestone with a full album called "The Super Album" on the legendary label KOMPAKT Records, with the privilege to join the short list of artists having signed an LP on this label, such as Kölsch, Agents Of Time or WhoMadeWho.

In 2025 he's coming with a new album called "LUZ" on beloved Berlin's label MOBILEE, a new achievement for him as an artist and a special step in his career.

He is now widely recognized for several standout tracks:

Inspired by space disco pioneers, Detroit techno and electroclash, his sound can be defined as romantic & burlesque.
