After well-received releases on labels such as Ombra International, Correspondant, ROAM and AEON, Italy's Amarcord kicks off 2021 with a new EP on Man Power's Me Me Me label including a remix from Love Attack boss Alan Dixon. Amarcord is just at the beginning of his exploration into the sonic world with ‘Age Of Intimacy’ showcasing his flair for producing dynamic, synth-driven tracks influenced by the cosmic quirks of the 80s.

We welcome back one of our own hometown heroes, Jonathan Kaspar. Through holding down a residency at the fabled Gewölbe club, to releases on Pets Recordings, Objektivity, Ouïe and our own KX imprint, Jonathan Kaspar has proved to be one of the most exceptionally gifted producers and DJ’s to emerge from Cologne in recent time.

Though the clubs have remained closed since he came to us with his Kompakt debut “Kante”, his inspiration clearly remains unwavered with “Muster EP”. An acid tinged groove throbs to incredible momentum on the title track “Muster”. Follow the heartbeat with “Alle” as Jonathan brings the electro funk forward with his first foray into using his own vocals. A French touched rumble bass gives “Beton” all the flow and more for those early hour moments we all are craving again. The closer “Heber” is a classic opener – a subtle percussion rhythm gets built around sky high synths and a sweet house high hat to warm up any night.

The digital version comes with a stripped down version of Beton!

After a relatively quiet period on the production front, Dustin Nantais is back on Manual Music, and maybe even more importantly, he's back with his first new release in more than a year!

Over the last couple of years he's been churning out one quality release after another on labels such as BluFin, SexOnWax, Wide Angle, Kittball, Stripped, Natura Viva, MNL and so many others.

2018 will see him launch his own label, but to keep you syked with anticipation the Toronto based DJ and producer drops an upbeat arpeggiator driven dance floor pleaser here with 'Apathy'. The infectious bassline is sure to work like a charm, a sure crowd favorite this one!

'Apathy' is our final single release of 2017. A proper way to end this we think! But of course we always end the year with our annual Manualism compilation, so be sure to keep an eye for that one as well.

Paul Hazendonk returns on his own Manual Music imprint with the final part of his Signature Series trilogy. Yet again presenting two brand new originals that cross over between various genres within the melodic electronic music spectrum.

First up it's 'Unagi', a massive and intense peak time dance floor bomb that will leave you with the feeling that you've been slapped in the face... in a good way! Paul's trademark arps build up the tension towards a roaring ravey bassline only to revert back to emo mode during the beautiful piano break until it's all systems go again. Proper madness this one!

The accompanying piece 'X Is Forever' is a more heady and intelligent piece. Starting out with a minimalistic arrangement and wobbly bassline, a mysterious vocal gets introduced early on which turns out to be the trademark element of this song. Of course the ever present arps make their introduction as the track gently builds on towards it's climax. A lovely piece of work to end the Signature Series trilogy!

The 73rd release on Darin Epsilon's Perspectives Digital begins 2020 with the sparkling "So Corrupted" from Mehmet Akar. A pair of outstanding remixes by veteran producers Sezer Uysal and Nihil Young 

A producer with a rich artistic pedigree, Mehmet Akar quickly found himself making a sizeable impression in the underground dance fraternity. After success with his "Deep Sounds" and "2nd Resurrection" radio shows, the Turkish producer has hit the headlines with over 150 track credits for some of the industry's finest imprints. Moreover, as a winner of Sasha's "Cut Me Down" remix competition and a 2011 release on Last Night On Earth, Akar has gone on to see his music feature on Global Underground, Beatfreak Recordings, and Outside The Box. Making his debut as part of the "ADE 2017 Sampler", Mehmet Akar returns to Perspectives Digital with the mesmerizing "So Corrupted".

Fellow Turkish DJ and producer, Sezer Uysal, needs little introduction to the Perspectives Digital faithful. An artist of global renown, his work has been signed to a myriad of high-profile imprints that include Stil Vor Talent, Suara, and a remix from Pig & Dan on ELEVATE. Formerly an official remixer for Ministry of Sound and supported by DJ A-listers including Pete Tong, John Digweed, and Hernan Cattaneo, a Perspectives Digital debut sees Sezer Uysal rework "So Corrupted" in inspiring fashion.

Both successful high-profile artists in their own rights, Nihil Young and Talal have found further achievement as a creative duo. Over 1 million streams of his track "Align" has seen Young stand out in a crowded market. His music for Kindisch, Warung, and his own Frequenza Records has seen the Italian produce highly original melodic, deep, and progressive house with a sprinkling of techno. Joining forces with Talal, the London based producer has been a key figure at events including Robot Hearts, Cream Amnesia Ibiza, and Amsterdam Dance Event. Music signed to the likes of Dear Deer, Natura Viva, and Colore have subsequently seen over a century of credits supported by Maceo Plex and Solomun.

PREMIERE: Mehmet Akar - So Corrupted (Sezer Uysal Remix) [Perspectives Digital]

The Trick, which Aikon pulls off on the stage of our conscious mind, works like this: First, he straps us onto a conveyor belt that originates from somewhere deep down between the realms of melodic techno and deep house. He then sends us zipping past shapes and structures, transporting us into a state of expectation. Next, the Ukrainian producer fulfills this expectation – but he does so in the most unexpected way. While we're still baffled and wondering exactly what just happened to us, our feet are already dancing away and our hands continue to explore the aural space between the harmonies. For the second strike on this EP, Aikon merges us into a minimalist string of rhythmic modulation named Makonde. Riding the crests of the buoyant groove we notice tribalistic drums and singing seeping through the gaps of our perception, a little bit like those sensory fragments that reach us behind closed eyelids when we're still halfway asleep.

Like an addict searching for their next hit, every waking hour of his day he thought about what would come next. What strange and twisted task he'd challenge himself to complete this time. Each day he needed to up the dose; he had to take it to the next level. This was now his only means of survival.

Belfast-based duo Black Bones came together through a shared love of collecting and spinning weird and wonderful sounds. After curating and releasing a highly tipped series of seven psychedelic disco 12”s, they make their way to Touch Sensitive Records for their debut EP consisting of four original club cuts, that explore the sleazy and dubbed out corners of industrial, house and new beat.
