Brazil's Gui Boratto returned at the start of summer with his new full length Pentagram -  an aural manifest of his diverse accomplishments that span over 10 years since the start of his career with his breakthrough full length "Chromophobia". 

So let the remix treatment begin.

We welcome WEHBBA - a fellow Brazilian who is known for his currently riding high with a new release on DRUMCODE. He takes "Spur" to techno-town and there's no turning back. 

Newcomer to the KOMPAKT family, London based ANII made waves with "Korzenie" - her spring EP debut for us. ANII continues to pursue a sincere sound for the house / techno dance floors with an emotive take on "Overload". 

Finally, the mysterious alias A BETTER LIE makes their debut  with a throttling deduction of "Overload".

Berlin house head Daniele Di Martino is next to step up on Get Physical with a pair of his perfectly dramatic dance floor weapons. 

This German producer has a stripped back and effective style, with plenty of focus given to his well programmed drums and expertly designed synth sounds. He had a busy 2018 putting out a number of well received EPs and remixes on labels like Bar 25 Music and Katermukke, while the brilliant brace he serves up here confirm his skills once again. 

Opener ‘Inception’ is a grand affair with thoughtful synths extending up into a cosmic sky. The rattling sheet metal drums drive things along as brooding bass lingers down in the depths. It makes for an all encompassing track that teeters on the edge of blowing up and keeps you locked as a result. 

The excellent ‘Element’ again has dramatic synths at its core, they change shape and bring a futuristic soul to the rooted drums. Echoing hits and supple melody lines all enrich the track and make it a colourful bit of late night and deep tech house.

These are two tasteful cuts that bring proper emotions to electronic music.

Hidden Empire is the brainchild of Branko Novakovic and Niklas Schäfers, who describe their musical vision as an 'impulsive, deeply moving soundscape, using the very essential and deepest elements of House and Techno'. Having dropped vital releases on the likes of Stil Vor Talent and Suara in the past couple of years, the boys now release Caterpillar - four tracks of sleek, purpo- seful techno on Oliver Huntemann's ever dependable Senso Sounds label. Lead track 'Caterpillar' is a lean, focussed and deadly example of their craft - synths are laser guided, while the rhythm
is pulsating and hypnotic. Similarly, 'Jack Haze' cuts away all the excess and hones in on a purity of purpose - slick beats and urgent percussion make this a standout cut. '20000V' is cut from
the same cloth, a dance floor-ready destroyer with tonnes of kinetic energy and perfectly pitched dramatic tension. Lastly, 'Tribute' completes the quartet - deep vibes and a wonky off kilter synth line add to the sense of euphoria.
