Pino Peña comes from a musically diverse background.

Growing up playing the drums, bass and singing in a band he later turned to djing and producing electronic music. The sound of his productions and sets still always vary across genres, offering elements from techno, house and breaks while being inspired by his diverse interests in punk, psychedelic and garage rock, jazz, hiphop and much more!

He is a Schimmer Records Residents as well as part of the 3024 mentoring program and recently launched his own imprint W133 focusing on combining music with photography.

My next guest on Yax Invites is Research Project, a DJ and producer located in Tandanya, Adelaide, Australia.

His love for depth, intricacy and pace make up the majority of his taste.

His work as a DJ involves being no stranger to opening or closing for artists such as Space Cadets, Moopie, Aldonna, Reptant, Kia and Helena Hauff. His club nights are presented with a passion dedicated to highlighting the local artists in South Australia and he still actively hosts events via his platform Small City.

His recent musical development revolved heavily around the experiences he returned from his recent trip to Berlin with, where his preexisting love of 90s, early 2000s and new-school progressive, meshed with innovative deep techno and trippy tech house was further realised.
