A few weeks back, @supertonicberlin had the chance to be invited for a stage takeover at Château Perché Festival (thanks to @breakaleg-ec ❤️).
 
I was on closing duty (the best and most rewarding mission one can get), and since it was recorded, I decided to upload it to preserve the memory of this beautiful moment shared with friends and dancers.

The set started during the dark and ended in the sunlight, and you can easily feel the music slowly shifting from a '00s more mental mood to some epic '90s hands-in-the-air moments as the sun rises.

Sunrise Closing @ Château Perché 2024

Hailing from Montreal, Maara burst onto the dance music scene with her 2021 breakout EP *Ultimate Reward* on NAFF. Since then, she’s made waves with releases like *Potion Activated* on Sonido Isla, featuring the track "The Forbidden Plum," nominated for Best Song of 2021 by Resident Advisor. This year, Maara has released music on Radiant Love, X-Kalay, and has a forthcoming EP on Kalahari Oyster Cult. Known for her playful, high-energy bangers, Maara has been touring Europe this summer, continuing to electrify dance floors with her dynamic DJ sets and infectious sound.

Jesse Blake, based in Geelong/Djilang, has a real focus on developing his uplifting and punctual sound, which has led to the opportunity to support Tornado Wallace, Guy Contact, Solar Suite, Harvey Sutherland, and DJ LIFE at recent events. Jesse also hosts a mix series called PowerHouse, which aims to host a range of artists' takes on creating a more euphoric mix style.

With this mix, time was taken to develop a sense of progression throughout the tracklist, while maintaining a euphoric and 'sunny day-time' feel to the set, really embracing a friendlier journey while keeping an upbeat tone

This is a recording of my set opening the Pandora stage during New Year's Eve at TivoliVredenburg, playtime between 00:10-01:30.

My intention was to start with an inviting, minimal house sound where I could quickly build it up to a more progressive and energizing sound. In the end, I tried to keep it dynamic by using a more genre-blending approach. Hope you’ll enjoy it! :)
