The @sungaterecords crew are nback with their final Observatory radio show of 2023, this time treating you to a fantastic mix from Caldera, also known as Malte Schumman, a German-born artist based in the UK who produces music under the alias Loop LF.

Following that, in the second hour of the show, Sungate co-founder Fran Domingo , aka Hakk, will curate a selection featuring tracks from the Sungate catalog by Gentian, Cøre & Einerlei, Raytek & Joaskt. Additionally, he’ll be treating you to a blend of classics and fresh tunes that have caught his attention recently.

Bassiani/Horoom의 레지던트 아티스트 HVL은, 2009년 듀오 Okinawa Lifestyle의 멤버로 처음 주목받기 시작한 이후 조지아의 트빌리시 클럽 씬을 중심으로 번성하는 테크노 무브먼트의 선두에 서 있다. 2013년 솔로 활동을 시작한 이후 HVL은 다양한 장르와 스타일을 탐구해왔고, Bassiani Records, Rough House Rosie, Tabernacle Records, Organic Analogue와 같은 언더그라운드 전초기지에서 발매된 그의 솔로 앨범들은 라이브 공연과 DJ 세트를 통해 만들어진 그의 독특한 취향을 담아내고 있다.
Organic Analogue Records에서 발매된 뛰어난 풀-랭스 데뷔작인 Ostati LP(2018)는 트빌리시 사운드를 정의하는 앨범으로, 매우 절제된 분위기의 아웃보드 하우스와 테크노를 중심으로 기존 HVL의 역동성을 매혹적으로 변화시킨 작품이다.
솔로 아티스트로서 HVL의 명성이 높아짐에 따라 셀렉터이자 DJ로서 그의 위상도 높아지고 있으며, 그는 2018년 Berghain, Hï Ibiza, 그리고 Berlin Atonal까지 세계 최고의 댄스 플로어를 휩쓸며 한차원 높은 수준의 라이브 쇼와 DJ 세트를 선보였다.

First coming to attention as a member of Okinawa Lifestyle duo in 2009, Bassiani/Horoom resident Gigi Jikia a.k.a HVL has become a leading voice of thriving techno movement centered around Tbilisi club scene. Since starting solo career in 2013, HVL was busy exploring more diverse range of genres and styles. His solo releases which have appeared on underground outposts like Bassiani Records, Rough House Rosie, Tabernacle Records and Organic Analogue, have testified to taste that’s also reflected in his Live performances and DJ sets.
The outstanding debut Ostati LP on Organic Analogue Records (2018), intended as a manuscript of the sound of Tbilisi, is a seductive update on the established HVL’s dynamics, centered on outboard house and techno with a noticeably understated mood.
As HVL’s reputation as a solo artist grows, so does his status as a selector and DJ. Jikia has taken his skillfully crafted Live shows and DJ sets to new heights in 2018, hitting up some of the best dancefloors in the world from Berghain and Hï Ibiza to infamous Berlin Atonal.

It's such a privilege to welcome one of my favorite producers to the series, Amsterdam's Human Space Machine, whose brilliant productions are a constant source of inspiration and a presence in so many of my favorite dancefloor memories. For MNMT 402 we welcome London based artist, Sybil with a mystical two hour voyage spanning the deepest depths of techno and beyond, stitched together from a broad palette of textures, ambiance and psychedelia. 

About the mix Sybil said:

“For this mix I wanted to capture the icy freshness of January, a month filled with new energy, bright skies, and winter’s introspection. Inspired by a trip in the mountains: cold alpine air, glittering snow, and vast expanses of rock nestled amongst forests of pine trees. I also wanted to bring the sonic feeling of my Deep Mind Music (https://soundcloud.com/deep-mind-music) mixes into a techno format. A mix for daytime deepness, spiralling upwards on a shimmering journey through the sky.”

We are deeply excited to share Donato and Marco’s grand finale for the last edition of Terraforma at Villa Arconati. With great humbleness, these two masters and dear friends have carefully broadened and lulled, record after record, an intimate space of trust, exchange and deep-time connection. 
 
Also, we’d like to add a fond memory that was shared with us a few days after:

“Dozzy and Shuttle’s finale unfolded like twilight. A prolonged dusk caressed by an eerie drizzle. Shadows and whispers echoing with the surroundings. Synapses slowly reaching the ground, merging and becoming one with the underground rhizomatic networks. A memorable rendez-Nous within a fractal space. It felt like being at the core center of the matrix, enveloped by a warmth reminiscent of a maternal womb. I found myself in a weightless suspension, envisioning the past, the present and the future, all together in a blink of an eye.”

The Bunker Podcast 229 comes from Berlin's @sarahwreath, who takes you on a journey of intricate rhythms intertwine, leading you deeper into a mesmerizing labyrinth of sound. 

If listening, collection, and selection have been daily habits since her youth, the processes of production and devoted explorations into the ripples of sound became the most important aspects of her current practice. In her vision, there is no prevailing preference over the role of producer or DJ - no hierarchical distinction amongst the club’s dancefloor, the acoustic hall or the healing sound bath. In the same perspective, both the creator and the careful selector of music & sound are entrusted with the power of touching the body-mind complexities of listeners and dancers with forceful acoustic messages.

Starting off 2024, she made her debut at Tresor Berlin for her first contribution to Infrastructure New York, which also features her collaborative work with David Sumner aka Function, from the Sandwell District collective.

"My aim with this mix was to take listeners on a journey—deep yet uplifting—reflecting my diverse taste in club music. It's like a rollercoaster ride of energy; sometimes we plunge into the depths, facing challenges, but consistently rediscovering our path to light and euphoria.” - Sarah Wreath
