In Paris, it’s hard to miss Mayflo and his positive and soothing aura. The lad is all around, both through his fierce Radio presence with his residencies at Rinse, Le Mellotron and Station Station, and behind the decks across the Parisian nightlife spectrum, under his name, with his ravy duo Les Déménageurs Bresson, or with his collective ItinéraireBis. He never seems to struggle, to tire out or to force himself, and it is this energy, this fluidity and ease to navigate vast Sonic universes that make this project so special.

On paper, combining the fury of Bristol banging breaks with those of Baltimore Club into a singular positive unity, with solar and dreamy overtones inspired by the warmth of House is no easy task. Yet, Mayflo lays it all there through his 5 tracks with an unsettling ease, drawing the outlines of this Solar Club Continuum in question: driven by a club energy, but never outrageous, 100% intimate and sensible. This makes it a one of a kind disc in the contemporary Dance landscape.

ConnectCast 020 - Monoke

Making moves in the Bristol scene and recently signing to Liquid Paradise, Monoke pushes for the left field sounds in her radio shows and sets, with tribal drums and hefty rhythms at the core.

Over the past few years she has featured at intimate festivals and kickstarted her own event Wonky veg which she will be bringing to Bristol in the new year.

One to watch out for? We think so.

It's 10 o'clock in the evening, i have to play at 10:30 but I get a phone call from my friend Alexis, the festival organizer "Yo man, hurry up, the set before has just ended earlier" No time to fool around, i put my usb key in my pocket and i run to the booth. We're under the trees of the Causse, it's night time, the sound system is massive and the light installation is sick. Let's go for a 2h set at 130-140 bpm.
