The first release on Ian's own imprint, 'The Shattered Light' is his first solo release in almost three years. This will come in a 6 panel digipack designed by Michael Waring (Future Sequence), cover photography by Eirik Holmøyvik and mastered by James Plotkin. ‘Sparks’ is the first full collaboration of the Black Elk quartet of Ian Hawgood, Tim Martin (Maps and Diagrams), Danny Norbury and Clem Leek. Whilst Ian and Tim take over acoustic, electronic, mixing and compositional duties, Danny is on cello and Clem on piano. ‘Sparks’ will be released July 27th. The follow-up, and connected work, 'Anchor' will be released at the end of the year. 'Sparks' was mastered by Lawrence English.

Track taken from the forthcoming release on Hibernate and Koen Music - Ian Hawgood & Friends 'Wolven (A Modern Interpretation)' The album will come as a double edition featuring re-workings by Dag Rosenqvist, Spheruleus, Pillowdiver, Hakobune, y0t0, as well as an entire second disc album re-interpretation by bvdub (Brock Van Wey).

The album 're-imagines' the nightmare/dream world sketches visited in the 2009 release 'Wolfskin' by Ian Hawgood. This time however, the album has been reworked by Ian over the past few years into a more fully shaped album, with Aaron Martin on cello, and Rafael Anton Irisarri on mastering duties. Out May 19th, 2013.

The original album will be released at the end of May 2013, remastered by James Plotkin.
