Husky - Next To You (ft. Natalie Wood)

Spanish sensation Wonderboy returns to Media-Blackout for his debut single release 'Chicago Wonder'. Wonderboy's straight up take on house with crisp driving drums entwined within a deep rumbling bass and catchy vocal hook emphasises the urge to dance. Flexical's remix follows on from the standout success of his recent releases, that builds to an intense piano fuelled breakdown. Media Blackout alumni George Freeman reappears on the label with his rework of 'Chicago Wonder'; a driving house monster that is crafted, to satisfy fans of the groovy and sexy beat. By interjecting driving drums, big bassline and a beautiful crafted melodic break, George manages to capture the essence of the original while giving it his signature touch and therefore transforming 'Chicago Wonder' into a feel good vibe that will leave you wanting more. 

Just close your eyes and get carried away by the exotic late summer rhythms of 'Chicago Wonder' that will make you dance, like there is no tomorrow.

The lead single from their forthcoming album, Love Was Real is a joyous disco-house hybrid with a triumphant vocal, punchy drums and a brass hook that will bring a smile to even the most hardened of dancefloor veterans.

Fabrikate are Francis and Chuck — two guys with similar tastes and interests digging into the past to uncover some long lost musical wisdom. Their devotion to this quest grants them laser focus, working like madmen to create bumping, neon-flecked sonic landscapes for their listeners to wander through. 

Both Francis and Chuck have their own personal tie to the disco era and the forgotten magic it left with. They grew up listening to celestial funk throughout their childhoods in Montreal, an island with deep disco roots of its own. The music they produce as Fabrikate takes the spirit of disco and weave it into a modern sound, with breathtaking results. 

“We both grew up immersed in disco in our own ways. The music and the culture of that era has always been a deep influence. Disco culture was very inclusive and non-judgemental. It was always about the vibes and the experience. With Fabrikate we’re creating our own interpretation of what disco music means for us today.” Fabrikate

Fabrikate have an innate ability to pick out a wonderful sample and transform it into something almost overwhelmingly powerful and Love Was Real is a prime example of this. Years of obsessing over obscure disco records have given both Francis and Chuck a wealth of geeky knowledge on which to draw, and here that knowledge is in full, perfectly realised effect.
