„Nein, nein. Jetzt wird geschlafen.“

„Na gut, rein ins Bett mit euch. Eine Geschichte noch.
Also, es war einmal in einer grossen, grossen Stadt namens Wien. Dort lebten zwei junge Männer namens „Pischinger“ und „Dermota“.

„Das sind aber komische Namen.“

Pischinger und Dermota waren sehr beliebt in der Partyszene von Wien, da diese sehr gerne Musik produzierten und die beiden nichts mehr liebten, als Leute zum Tanzen zu bringen. Sie waren nämlich Diskjockeys.

„Waaaaass?“

„Ja Kinder, Diskjockeys. Die legen auf und machen Musik. Die beiden lernten sich durch puren Zufall in einem Lokal namens „Camera Club“ kennen, einem der ältesten und eingesessensten Gaststätten von Wien. Sie haben an diesem Abend das erste Mal gemeinsam gespielt, wurden schnell Freunde und beschlossen ab diesem Zeitpunkt gemeinsam Musik zu machen – als „Pischinger & Dermota“, ihren lustigen Namen eben. Die Leute wurden ganz verrückt nach ihren treibenden Bässen, klaren Höhen und hallenden Percussions. Techhouse, Techno und alles was ordentlich antreibt – das war ihr Markenzeichen. Das DJ-Duo machte jede Party unvergesslich und ihre Musik hinterliess bleibenden Eindruck.

Und wenn sie nicht gestorben sind, dann sind sie immer noch gute Freunde und stehen gemeinsam vor einem tanzenden Mob an den Plattentellern.

Die Idee für diesen Mix drängte sich nahezu auf, da in letzter Zeit einige Bands auftauchten, die nicht nur wundervolle elektronische und frische Musik produzierten, sondern auch als Duo in Erscheinung traten. Bei genauerem Hinsehen, bestehen diese aus einem weiblichen und einem männlichen Teil. Manchen Acts sieht man diese Duo-Konstellation sofort an, andere halten sich eher bedeckt. Die einen sind tatsächlich nur zu zweit, die anderen haben live oder im Studio Unterstützung. Gemeinsam ist fast allen der moderne musikalische Zugang, die eigenständige Originalität und die ausbalancierte Aufgabenverteilung. Es könnte also sein, dass dieser Art von Duo eine besondere kreative Energie innewohnt - unabhängig davon, ob es sich um eine Geschwister-, Liebes- oder Arbeitsbeziehung handelt. Die Nummern, die in den letzten zwei Jahren entstanden, weisen ebenso ein paar gemeinsame Merkmale auf: sphährisch & dreamy, Pop & Experiment, Melodie & Wumms. In diesem Mix gibt es also eine Auswahl dieser Bands zu hören - ergänzt um zwei Duos, deren Blüte schon einige Zeit zurück liegt (Zyx, Musyl & Joseppa). 
Weitere spannende Kooperationen dieser Art, die nur aufgrund des Stils nicht im Mix vorkommen, jedoch erwähnt werden sollen, sind: soia + mez, Gerhard Heinz + Aniko Benkö, Gerhard Heinz + Marianne Mendt, mosch + the unused word, station rose, Andrea Dee + Gottfried Distl, mimu + ritornell, toju kae + elena shirin, Ash my Love, Judy, You're Not Yourself Tonight, The Happy kids etc.

For maximum pleasure and details you usually wouldnt HEAR - nor feel...
If you don't own a system like that start beeing a DJ - and use other's systems. And you might start travelling clubs and 5star hotels. :)

Few weeks ago I was DJing for the GORILLAZ!
Their ofcourse bearded manager just yelled "U r doin it! U r doin it! Watch your ass! Gorillaz ladies around!"
A few days later Wu Tan Clan. They superhappy - me superhappy.
A groupie wanted RZA to show her how to become a DJ.
RZA replied over a fourty times: "You don't become a DJ! You ARE a DJ if you ARE a DJ! START DJING! HE is a DJ cuz HE-IS-DOIN-IT!"

If you have to leave the city and move to the country side to train DJing to the perfect tunes L-O-U-D - so DO IT!
PERFECT tunes optimized played with and loud - GRAB YOUR AUDIENCE!
