Das yogabeats Projekt wurde 2010 aufgrund der vermehrten Nachfrage von Lehrern verschiedener Yoga Schulen und freien Trainern ins Leben gerufen.
Die Produzenten setzten sich zum Ziel, Musik zu kreieren, die speziell auf die Bedürfnisse und Anforderungen des power- bzw. intensiv- Yoga abgestimmt ist, aber auch jedes andere Yoga Genre bedient.
Eine harmonische Symbiose aus sanften electronic beats, handgespielten percussion Grooves und traditionellen Instrumenten.
Live eingespielt und auf höchstem Niveau produziert.
Durch die komplette Produktionszeit wurden alle Titel von Yogalehrern im Praxistest auf Funktionalität und Kursteilnehmer – Feedback hin überprüft. Die BPM (Beats per minute) Rate ist perfekt auf eine abgestimmte Atemfrequenz angepasst. Dies ist speziell im Vinjasa Yoga, Yoga Flow, Dynamic Yoga (atemsynchrone Bewegungsabläufe) für den Praktizierenden von großem Vorteil.
Im Entspannungsteil wurde innovativ mit Binaural Beats gearbeitet. Hierbei handelt es sich um den gezielten Einsatz von Frequenzschwebungen welche den Wandel der Hirnwellenströme sanft von Aktiv auf Aktiv /Passiv begleiten.
Die einzelnen Titel sind logisch aufeinander aufgebaut und praktisch für jede Art von Yogastil geeignet. Speziell aber für die Körperlich etwas mehr fordernden Yogastiele konzipiert.
Power- und Intensiv- Yoga sind moderne Yogastile die auch verstärkt in Fitnesstudios und Wellness Zentren Einzug halten.

Ustad Zakir Hussain

Ustad Zakir HussainPopularly known as Tabla Maestro, Ustad Zakir Hussain is the son of the renowned tabla player Ustad Allah Rakha. He was born on 9th March, 1951 and showed much interest in tabla since a very young age. This child prodigy started touring by the time he was twelve and started to perform at concerts and gain much recognition and fame. He went to in St. Michael's High School in Mahim and did his graduation from St. Xavier's Mumbai. In his twenties, he started to tour the United States frequently and performed in not less than 150 concerts per year. Zakir Hussain has had the opportunity to perform with many talented musicians not just in India but also all over the world. He became a famous international phenomenon. He has composed for many English movies like Apocalypse Now, In Custody, Little Buddha, The Mystic Masseur, Heat and Dust, etc. Zakir Hussain also acted in a brilliant documentary named "The Speaking Hand: Zakir Hussain and the Art of the Indian Drum" that was released in the year 2003. But it was not released on DVD due to lack of audience response. He also composed, performed and provided his valuable advice for Vanaprastham, which was screened at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival. 

Zakhir has performed with many artists and has created brilliant works of fusion. His partnership with the famous band The Beatles truly deserves a special mention. He also recorded with the American psychedelic band called "Shanti" in the year 1971. In 1975, he worked with John McLaughlin in the band "Shakti". This band had John McLaughlin, Zakir Hussain, L. Shankar, T.H. "Vikku" Vinayakram and R. Raghavan. It was disbanded by late 70's. However, the band was reunited a few years later by the name of Remember Shakti with some new members. The new band has released many albums like Saturday Night in Bombay, The Believer and 38th Montreux Jazz Festival. 

Zakhir Hussain also released his first solo album "Making Music" in the year 1987, which was proclaimed to be one of the most inspired East-West fusion albums ever. He was awarded the "Padma Shree" by the Government in the year 1988, thus making him the youngest percussionist to ever receive this award. Zakir Hussain has also received the National Heritage Fellowship (1999) which the most prestigious honor for a master in traditional arts in U.S. He has also been honored with Sangeet Natak Akademi Award by the President of India in the year 1991. He was also awarded the Grammy for the album "Planet Drum" which was produced and created by Zakir Hussain and Mickey Hart. 

Zakir Hussain married an Italian-American Kathak Dancer, Antonia Minnecola. She earlier worked as his manager for some time. Zakir Hussain has two daughters Anisa Qureshi and Isabella Qureshi. Anisa Qureshi graduated from UCLA and is trying her hand in video production and film making. The other daughter, Isabella is studying as a dance major in Manhattan. Zakhir Hussain has truly made his indelible mark in the field of music and has also acquired international acclaim. A true legend, his music shall continue to enthrall us for many more years to come.

Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra, also known as Om Tryambakam Yajamahe Mantra . It is also called Rudra mantra, referring to the furious aspect of Lord Shiva (Mahadeva), and Tryambakam mantra, alluding to Lord Shiva’s three eyes. The 3rd eye (the faculty of insight and intuition) is said to be located in the space between the eyebrows and is “opened” when one experiences the spiritual awakening.

Followers of Lord Shiva consider that this powerful mantra evokes the Shiva within human beings and removes the fear of death, liberating one from Samsara – the cycle of death and rebirth, hence the name “Great Death-conquering Mantra”.
Along with Gayatri mantra, it holds the highest place among the many Sanskrit mantras used for meditation, contemplation, and healing. Whereas Gayatri Mantra is meant for spiritual guidance and purification, Rudra mantra is used for rejuvenation, healing, and nurturance. Mahamrityunjay mantra is also considered a strong remedy to propitiate Lord Shani (The Sun God).

Lyrics in Sanskrit:

”Om Tryambakam Yajamahe Sugandhim Pushthivardhanam; Urvaarukamiva Bandhanaan Mrityormuksheeya Maamritaat.
Translation in English:
”We worship the three-eyed one who is fragrant, and who sustains all living beings. May he liberate us from (Samsara) death. May he (Lord Shiva) lead us to immortality, just as the cucumber is released from its bondage.”

Word-by-word meaning 	:

◦	Om – is the primeval ancient sound from which everything originated. This sacred syllable represents the entire manifested world and the unmanifest, and also that which lies beyond both the unmanifest and the manifest.
	◦	Tryambakam – represents the three-eyed Lord Shiva who sees what we can see but who also sees what we can not see.
	◦	Yajamahe – we honor, worship, adore.
	◦	Sugandhim – sweet smelling, fragrant.
	◦	Pushthi – a well-nourished condition, prosperous, thriving, the fullness of life. Reality nourishes (sustains) everything.
	◦	Vardhanam – one who strengthens, nourishes, causes to increase (in wealth, health, well-being, wisdom, knowledge). On the spiritual path, our understanding increases day by day.
	◦	Urvaarukamiva – like the cucumber. Here it symbolizes each of us and our relationship to existence.
	◦	Bandhanaan – from captivity.
	◦	Mrityormuksheeya – free, liberate from death, attain moksha (a blissful state of existence of a soul, completely free from the karmic bondage).
	◦	Maamritaat – may I never again be parted from immortality.

“Vairagya” literally means “transparent.” Just as clear flowing water in the river acquires the color of the soil beneath, one who is transparent has no color of his own. Color is a product of the breaking up of light, the basis of our ability to see. Vairagya is an unbroken or “free-of-all-distortion” state that can light the world. It is only in a state of vairagya one can see as It Is.
