Two names synonymous with melody, style, and forward thinking, Brazil's Gui Boratto and Germany's own Martin Eyerer presented two hot productions on Audiomatique. Full of musicality and the worldly presence of two seasoned globetrotters, this international collaboration represented newly chartered territories, standing tall and proud above the dense fog of the mainstream.

With the arrival of the title cut, The Island, Boratto & Eyerer offered easy, jacking beats which skipped amongst a rousing synth melody, filtering carefully and capturing the listener in hypnotic and uplifting swells of sound. Straight to the point, its memorable hook only calmed in the later moments, allowing the solid energy of the percussive elements to have their say. It was half club track, half open air magic moment.

On the B-side of this two-part journey, listeners witnessed the softer synth theme of The Beach, perhaps derived from classical piano roots, which took the role of storyteller. A beautiful contrast occurred between the padded notation of the central melodies and the crisp crunch of the claps and kicks that underpinned the track. Perhaps intended for an impromptu late night beach soirée, be it in Brazil, Germany or afar, this melancholic piece of electronics became another hybrid of club functionality and natural musical sentiment.

This unmissable package, the first collaboration between two highly acclaimed producers, confirmed that the multi national culture held great promise for the future of cutting edge music.

Gui Boratto, Martin Eyerer - The Island

Giuliano Rodrigues is a renowned Brazilian DJ and music producer, widely recognized for his significant contributions to the Dub Techno genre. Born with an innate passion for music, Giuliano channeled his talent and creativity to craft a unique and captivating sound that deeply resonates with genre enthusiasts.

In 2012, Giuliano founded his first digital label, @flowingmovementmusic. Through this label, he not only promoted his own music but also elevated the profile of numerous other artists within the genre. His commitment to sonic excellence and dedication to cultivating a vibrant community of Dub Techno producers and fans have solidified his position as a central figure in the music scene.

In 2020, amid the pandemic, he launched DUBGIU, followed by Afterdub in 2023 and @dublucid in 2024—all focused on deep tech, deep house, minimal, and, of course, Dub Techno.

Giuliano has also released tracks on @lucidflow, a label founded by @nadjalind and @helmut-ebritsch, also known as @klartraum. The duo has produced remixes of Giuliano’s tracks, showcasing mutual respect and collaboration within the Dub Techno community. Two of Giuliano’s songs were even played at the iconic Burning Man festival. Giuliano also had the opportunity to remix Klartraum's track Manifestation, which has garnered over 60,000 plays on Spotify.

Additionally, Giuliano was featured on the popular YouTube channel GENTLEMAN, which boasts over 400,000 subscribers. In a dedicated video, @gentlemantracks selected ten tracks released by Giuliano under DUBGIU and created a one-hour set featuring his music. The channel also added two of his tracks to its top Spotify playlists.

Giuliano’s music portfolio extends to @superordinate-music, founded by @naetek. He has collaborated with Nae:Tek on several tracks, demonstrating his versatility and ability to synergize with other artists. Most recently, Giuliano released new music on @piranha-siberia, continuing to contribute fresh and innovative sounds to the Dub Techno scene.

Through these platforms and collaborations, Giuliano Rodrigues continues to solidify his reputation as a prolific and influential figure in Dub Techno, constantly pushing the genre's boundaries and connecting with a global audience.

Currently, with countless remixes, singles, compilations, and his entire body of work focused on Dub Techno, Giuliano has centralized all his releases under one label: DUBLUCID.

Etching a musical partnership that draws from the combined roots of IDM, house and techno, 
Mind Against are the Italian native but Berlin based project of Alessandro and Federico Fognini.

The biggest cliché of a “sound that’s hard to pin down”, is realer than gravity when it comes to Mind Against. They coax on psychedelic hooks of the 1980s and dance floor anthems bound traditionally to european soil. This backdrop makes for releases and performances that do well against any canvas.

They are inarguably the biggest Swiss DJ duo act of the moment, with a slew of releases on Diynamic and more recently, the inception of their very own record label Siamese and upcoming debut album "Nude" on Tale Of Us' highly revered label Afterlife.
