Martin Brodin - Lazise 1979

Yax is a techno DJ from Adelaide, Australia drawing influence from the likes of artists such as DVS1, Jeff Mills, and Setaoc Mass. His style is continuously evolving through extensive digging for deep, groovy, hypnotic, and minimal techno, as he takes inspiration from the 90s and early 00s era, while still adding a modern twist to his sets. Yax also curates a weekly podcast series called Yax Invites, which began in 2021 with the aim of showcasing talent from around the world with an emphasis on extended techno mixes. Hailing from Frosinone, Alex launched the respected Affekt Recordings in 2012, a platform with a growing back catalogue of releases from estabilished artists as well as new talents. This label project also culminated in the emergence of Affekt Club, a landmark of the underground culture in Italy in those years.

In this exclusive mix recorded for us, Alex Dolby shows off his unique blend of rough textures and tough rhytms with a clear focus on functional club weaponry.
