On Monday 3rd January 2022, our dearest and most cherished friend, Karen Wilkins passed away.

While we are overcome with sadness that she is no longer physically with us, we are also overflowing with endless love and immense gratitude for having known her.

She truly was one of a kind, an incredible soul in every possible way, ​and we are so blessed that she was in our lives.

Among so many other things, Karen was an amazing DJ (and resident for London-based Opulence collective), putting her heart and soul, just as she did with everything, into the music she loved so much.

Music bought us together, just as it has so many of others, and so we felt compelled to jump on the decks, something she loved so much to do, to honour her.

In life she taught us so so much, and her passing has reminded us of just how incredibly precious our time on this earth truly is.

We never know what is around the corner and as cliched as it sounds, we must do all that we can to make the most of the time we've been given.

So, throw yourself at the things that light a fire in your soul, that bring your happiness and make you feel alive. Spend time with the people you love. Push through your fears to live wholeheartedly, just as Karen did.

We felt Karen with us throughout this mix, dancing her heart away with the biggest smile on her face, just as she did at many On the 5th Day events, and nights across London, where she made dear friends who all held a special place in her heart.

She was a true inspiration and will certainly live on in our hearts for all time.

[Impact ⁞⁞ Le Mans, FR]

The organization Impact has really put Le Mans on the map, a small city that normally doesn’t have a vibrant techno scene and it’s probably a lot more famous for it’s 24 hour race than any dance events. In only one year though Impact has hosted artists like Keepsakes, Ansome, I Hate Models, Charlotte De Witte, Anetha, Keith Carnal, Hemka and Charles Fenckler and completely changed the scene in Le Mans, and most of all they have been responsible for a lot of well produced parties in both Le Mans, Paris and in Belgium… and yet there is a lot more to come.
	
Todays mix comes from Souls Tide Zone, one of the residents of the organization, who we met at their sold out event in September in Le Mans. Apart from being involved in Impact he’s also producing and is soon to be released on a couple of labels like Unusual Records. He's also a part of a newly formed collective called Electric Corporation, consisting of four friends, all djs/producers, each with a special orientation in underground electronic music, to create a diverse live experience.

Recording of me & @drumsofjay DJing b2b for 3 hours at Darkroom in December with Helena Hauff and Nazira at Hangar.  

We played 00:00 - 03:00 in room 2. This whole set felt like magic from start to finish, and we are excited to share this recording with the world. 

Jay & I have this very intertwined musical understanding, probably from the many many hours we spend sharing music with each other and partying together. When we play together we always play one-for-one, and because of our symbiotic feeling for where the set should go, these sets feel like we’re co-creating something special with endless possibilities.
