This is the first track I made since moving to Taiwan.  My studio is just a Macbook Pro, an MPK mini, and Headphones, so no elaborate recording techniques were not used (I'm not sure how the low end sounds).  I put together most of the track with samples from my own constructed sample library and then filled it out by playing electronic instruments.  

Gao Pow - Taiwan Beat

This track is part of a series where I collaborated with fellow travelers in an attempt to create uniquely inspired music. I met a German couple while working on a flower farm, and we worked on this beat together. It's fun to let the different preferences of a group of individuals guide the process of making a track. 

Heliconia Shuffle

Installment 2 in a travel series. This is a collaboration with two Spaniards traveling through Perth, Australia. I love making these kinds of tracks that combine beat making with ethereal soundscapes. We made this track in the summer, but to me it seems like a track for the autumn or the spring just after a rain.

Installment 3 of my travel series. An Estonian, A German, cool vibes and some of the most beautiful beaches I've ever seen inspired this track. vocals were recorded on a macbook air and an iphone 5. I hope it tickles your groove muscles.

LivinLovinChillin

Part 4 of my travel series.  This track is inspired by Ed Sheeran and Alan Watts and was intended to be listened to while driving. It is an experimentation with samples and moods. 

She Ran From Nature

Part 5 of my travel series. This track is a 130bpm House mix intended to be used by a DJ. It's a kind of musical scrapbook that has lots of personal references to a group of people that my partner and I met while traveling. These included a girl from Hong Kong who played the bamboo flute, a German guy who liked funk music, a reggae-loving scuba instructor, and of course, a house DJ. Caution: this track may induce vegetable blindness. 

I Can't See My Salad - GreenHouse Mix

This is an electro cover of Bach's contrapunctus I. This piece was intended to be a study of counterpoint, and not specifically intended for one particuar instrument. Sacrilege or relevant homage? You decide.

Contra Punch (Contrapunctus I)

This track is inspired by Anime. Specifically I drew from Ghost In The Shell(quite blatantly), Kill La Kill, and Shokugeki No Soma. I had fun experimenting with dubstep-style bass sounds and trying to recreate the unique emotions that come from the Japanese art and Japanese culture that I have been exposed to.

this is the title screen for Inverse Wars, a game I did the music and sound effects for. I've been meaning to upload one of the Inverse Wars tracks for a while now.
