Aside from purchasing this album there are many initiatives currently accepting donations. 100% of the proceeds from this release will be donated to local charities. Liquid Love: Liquid Drum & Bass

After discovering the bass scene in 2014 Brandon Kimura - aka Koptik, started teaching himself to DJ and began playing at small house parties for friends. Shortly after he began playing and throwing bush raves. Around this same time he purchased Ableton and began teaching himself to make music, but it wasn’t until 2020 and the lockdowns that came with it that he really sat down and started taking it seriously. He has been working on his music and developing his sound, getting feedback from others before deciding to finally show off his music

Initially discovering dubstep in 2008 through tracks like Sierra Lieone and artists like Excision, it wasn’t until he fell into the festival scene that he started listening to more experimental tracks as well as drum n bass. Today he is focused on bringing a new sound with a blend of the trippy sounds found in the North American underground with the drum and bass rhythms made famous by UK legend

In 2019 he, along with his brother co-founded a promotion company, Zanadu sound and began hosting events with headliners such as ColtCuts, Abstrakt Sonance and Milano. He has shared the stage with names such as Dalek One, Internal Frequency, Just John, Eugene, Untitld and many more, and he’s only getting started.

Expect to see Koptik more and more in Western Canada and be on the lookout for his first releases later this winter!
