Welcome to my podcast and channel, Korea Yusa: A History of Korea.

My fascination in Korea and Korean history has led me to create a channel to share and transmit my own learning and research with anyone else interested. It started with a question, "What was Korea like 100 years ago?" I had a vague idea, but wasn't very sure. So I did some quick googling and found myself in a rabbit hole. Emerging from the descendants of ancient steppe peoples, Koreans trace their history going back over 5,000 years, but most of us are familiar with just the last 50 years or so. While I'm focusing on Korean history, I will also use it as a springboard to convey the aspects of Korean culture affected by it, like in food, music, language, etc.
