Johannes Auvinen (Tin Man) and Max Ravitz (Patricia), two devotees in the cult of the TB-303, return to Acid Test with the Celestial Body Music series, a follow up to their 2020 LP Powers Of Ten.

Recorded in Ravitz’s studio in Asheville, NC, Celestial Body Music once again showcases the pair’s penchant for raw yet emotive dance music. With Auvinen’s signature TB-303 programming and Ravitz’s typical melancholic flair, the duo’s styles merge seamlessly over the course of 8 tracks that harken back to the heyday of American techno and house. Following on from Powers of Ten, the pair continue to fix their eyes firmly on the stars, as Celestial Body Music’s song titles conjure visions of listening to Dance Mania 12”s on the ISS. With a tonal palette that features the well-trodden sounds of classic analog hardware like the TR-808, TR-909, TB-303, and SH-101, Ociya demonstrate their ability to breathe new life into these old instruments through thoughtful programming, arrangement, and mixing. This is made all the more significant when considering every song was recorded live to 2-track with no editing over the course of a few days. Sweet and savory both, the new material strikes a perfect balance between emotive sensibility and dance floor appeal.

Korea Town Acid is a classically trained pianist, recording artist/live performer/DJ from South Korea, currently based in Toronto. 
She experiments in her unique sound design by using hardware, analogue/digital polysynths, drum machines and samplers to express her unpredictable soundscapes with moody textures.
She is an alumni of the 2018 Redbull Music Academy and one of four invitees to participate in a master class with Suzanne Cianni at the National Music Centre in 2019. As a producer, she has contributed to the track "Play No Games" on rapper Cadence Weapon's 2021 Polaris Prize winning album "Parallel World". She is most noted for her single "Sobriety", nominee for Underground Dance Single of the Year for Juno Awards of 2022. Her djing style is eclectic, exploring a wide range of genres from Seoul's underground to local bangers, consistently presented on radio show in Brooklyn's The Lot Radio.
Her unique improvisational Live PA experience is free-form, genre-bending, her formidable skills have brought her to global stages including her home town of Seoul, as well as Helsinki, London, Berlin, New York, Athens Riyadh, and all cross Canada. Most notable showcases; Mutek, Pop Montreal, Boiler Room and Plissken Festival, sharing stages with globally renowned artists including Floating Points, Objeckt, Laurel Halo, Helena Hauff, Leon Vynehall, Pelada, Machinedrum, MoMa Ready, Kyle Halll, Move D, Yeaji.
Her ground-breaking LP "Metamorphosis" with Dave Cooley (J Dilla, Madvillain, Madlib) on mastering duties, has received supportive press from Resident Advisor and Complex. Her LP “Cosmos” expressing Lofi, Electronica and DnB, recently featured on BBC 1 Radio, Benji B show and Frank Ocean's radio show "Homer Radio" by Apple Music. Her latest studio album “In Motion” self-release on digital platform is one of her exciting work up to date, blending in experimental electronic sound, inspired by Drum and bass/hiphop/breakcore/jazz and atmospheric sounds.
