S000 Berlin City Tour

Like the other SGX-2 pianos, the Berlin Piano provides multiple levels of velocity switching, damper resonance, damper & note release, mechanical noise, string resonance, but it also includes Una Corda (soft pedal) samples.
The middle and end sections of this piece use soft pedaling to produce a softer tone, that could only be created and performed using a real grand piano, with it's soft pedal.

Kudos

This SGX-2 Berlin Una Corda Piano provides a softer tone. When the soft pedal is pressed, the hammers of a grand piano shift, to only play single strings. Again, if you listen closely, you will be able to hear the subtlety of the damper resonance, damper & note release, mechanical noise and string resonance with this delicate stetting.

Indigo Dreams

This SGX-2 German Piano uses 8-way velocity switching, with additional settings for damper resonance, damper & note release, mechanical noise and string resonance.

It's realism and natural piano character makes it ideal for both studio and live performance.

Lullaby For George

Listen to the changes in drawbar registration, combined with slow and fast rotary speaker settings in the beginning of this song. Once the groove starts you can hear the accuracy of the C3 chorus/vibrato, percussion, and key click, using the new and improved Amp1 overdrive setting. The CX-3 engine also provides the electromechanical effect of wheel brake, which is the descending organ tone at the end of this song.

The Master Of Groove

initially you'll hear the cross-fading of waveforms with vector synthesis, along with a cross-faded Wavesequence.

Then a non-cross-faded "Rhythmic Wavesequence" becomes the prominent sound.

Beyond The Waves

The HD-1 EXs2 Concert Grand (OASYS Piano) has an exceptional dynamic range. Each note was recorded to it's maximum length at mp, mf, f and ff levels.
Damper pedal resonance was also recorded to add the natural character of playing with a sustain pedal.

This expressive HD-1 Concert Grand Piano is ideally suited for both solo and ensemble performances.

I used a Drum Track, with the Kronos joystick, and knobs to modulate the MS‐20EX parameters to show the modulation possibilities of this incredible engine.

The Dark-Side Of X

This double PolysixEX EXi program combines a warm sweeping pad with an arpeggiated pattern being modulated by an LFO.

I used the ribbon, JS-Y and the assignable knobs to add personal expression and an extra dimension of sound.

VCF Circulation

I used a Drum Track, JS+Y and KARMA to show the possibilities of how powerful the AL-1 engine can be.

The Offbeat Of Dancerific

I created this classic metallic timbre by using sine and waveshaping for the VPM Oscillators, and then I used the joystick, knobs and KARMA to animate this sound.

It was easy to create the bell like timbres at the end by adjusting the attack time.

Bell Transforms

This piece is dedicated to my father. He was a professional guitarist, and he was/and is my musical greatest inspiration. Every sound in this demo was created with the STR-1 engine. 

No other instruments or technologies can capture the natural characteristics and nuances of stringed instruments like the Kronos STR-1 engine.

The sonic possibilities of synthetic exploration are endless with STR-1.
