This was my 4th time playing Kremfest and my favorite set yet. I went hard in the opening slot but it was the festival vibe and it worked in Timbre Room that night!! I was as they say reading the room hehe + The first couple of minutes had some audio issues but I loved this mix so much I am still uploading it without that part.

Continued genre explorations, flexing my hybrid muscles. This is my first set on Soundcloud in 5-4 years so I hope yall like it!! My vibe has changed lol.

Welcome to Peace Portal this Friday night! This month's mix is pure vibes yo!

Lauren Taylor, aka @korrathekid, is a Bellingham resident who frequents Seattle to perform at various venues in the area. After sharing the stage with big name artists such as Kll Smth, Holly, and Truth, Lauren is DJ who has become fluent in the many genres of underground bass. Korra the Kid is a name that is synonymous with clean transitions, expert song selection, and unique mash ups. Having mixed for over four years and performed at prestigious venues such as Kremwerk, Q Nightclub, and The Wild Buffalo, it is clear her mixing style is the product of practice and an understanding of the underground music scene.

What have you been up to?
I was lucky enough to play 5 shows last month in both Bellingham and Seattle! Somehow in the last 2 months my bookings have grown exponentially, which is awesome, but also stressful! Most of this stress has been from transitioning from my trusty Traktor s4 over to CDJS. Playing at Q Nightclub opening up for Holly and Wick-it the Investigator and playing the Wild Buff for the first time were definitely a highlights. 

How and where did you record your mix?	
I recorded this mix in my room with my s4, a macbook pro, and traktor. 

Tell us a bit about the mix!
I have been playing live quite a bit lately so I have to make sure my sets can keep a crowd moving. This set is filled with some of my favorite songs that don’t quite have the ability to rock a club. Relaxing drum and bass, my favorite!! 

What are you up to next?
I am playing a Charity show in Seattle for Mary’s Place on the 23rd which I am very excited about! Then, hopefully, mastering CDJs.

Korra The Kid is a Seattle-based DJ with 10+ years of DJ experience (but still gen z... wow!). She predominantly plays hybrid sets, mixing elements of club, 160 dnb, hip hop, breaks, footwork, jungle, hyperpop, grime, baile, ukg, and pop into her sets. Keeping percussion-heavy, underground electronic music cute is her goal, and she’s constantly expanding her genre range. The cuter.... the better. The weirder.... even better! 

 You might have seen Korra playing at Basscoast, The Showbox Market, Capitol Hill Block Party, APOG, Kremwerk, Monkey Loft, Cascadia, Summer Meltdown and more. A Washington festival and renegade must for over a decade bb!! She is also 1/2 of DJ Girlfriends with Mirin Doja and produces events with Bodytalk.
