High Maintenance & AL/SO - Here We Go Again(Mean Teeth Remix)

@Hybridtheory have been killing it in basshouse for quite a while now and have gone from strength to strength releasing on imprints as Crucast and Gorilla Warfare. Their dnb exploits have hit stores with increasing numbers and now they debut a huge two tracker on Korsakov Music with Burn / Sick. And they aren't alone.

They've teamed up with Bristol based supertalent @icudnb who has made a meteoric rise onto the scene with his debut release Hush Hush dropping on Gorilla Warfare netting him a residency at the infamous Motion free raves in Bristol. The deadly combination of these artists is unleashed in full strength on Burn, a nefarious dancefloor anthem blessed by the incredible vocals of Nehanda.

Sick continues the banger trend and takes it into even more stripped down and bare territory, going full new school jump up vibes to close the two tracker.

@sovrynuk finally returns to Korsakov Music and what a way to do it. This fresh 2 tracker shows the constant growth of Charles Broom who is making some serious international waves with his unique cutting edge productions.

Valhalla is what we'd imagine Vikings would sound like if they came from Belgium and had Ableton at their disposal: violent, screechy, banging and awesome. The flipside Obelisk is the perfect B-Side to this: straightforward, bouncy, catchy and gross.

Sovryn isn't done with y'all by any means and that's a worrysome prospect considering these two hooters are just the beginning for the Bristol based producer in 2022.

Phibes return to Korsakov Music with the huge single 'Forever' after their enormous success with Like Whoa, a tune that was the best selling release in drum & bass for months straight, remaining at number 1 for 6 weeks and then camping out in the top 10 for months after.

Needless to say, Phibes do bangers, and they do it unlike anyone else. This one is no different, a simple and powerful vocal over a dry, dirty banger that's sure to rip up the charts and dancefloors alike.

It's the City Of Dreams after Sigmund Freud called it home and invented psychoanalysis there, and it's also the City Of Music having had both Beethoven and Mozart as inhabitants.

And now, it's also the birthplace of two absolute primetime weapons grade bangers (which in itself is a synonym for a fat juicy Viennese sausage, go figure) in the form of Eternity and Adrenaline Rush, concocted by highly promising Austrian prodigy Manta. Sure, Beethoven and Mozart were amazing musicians but they couldn't synthesise a snare to save their lives so in our opinion they've got nothing on Manta.

Hear them, be amazed by them, play them, support them, shout them out, enjoy them and most importantly: do so while eating unnecessary amounts of schnitzel. Manta is going places so be sure to keep a close eye on him!

Protostar takes no prisoners with the astronomically big 'Into Dark', a mesmerising journey by one of the hottest producers in the game right now, who pulls all stops and shows off every single bit of skill he has, hitting the form of his life. On top of all that, MYLK's presence across the track is both daunting and haunting, she glides through the sonics like a space ship through the cosmos and tops this track off as the amazing cherry on a delicious celestial pie.

After three awesome years on Korsakov Music, it's time for Sovryn to get his remix on!

One of dnb's hottest names right now, Enta, gets the ball rolling with the reece bass extravaganza that is his 'Static Vision' remix, blessed with the unmistakable pipes of Gid Sedgwick, which packs more punch than prime Mike Tyson.

Next up is ABLE, who shows he is indeed very able at remixing by spinning the liquid beauty 'Somebody New' featuring Ruth Royall into a murky UK style roller.

'Weekend' is the third Sovryn track to get the remix treatment, this one by none other than rising star Invert Era, turning the already filthy track into a bassweighty primetime weapon.

It’s a Mach made in heaven: As the man behind Korsakov Music, one third of halftime muck-chuckers Ancient Radius and a DJ of ill repute for several years now, the danger Dutchman brings his own slap-happy signature to High Maintenance’s tried, tested and highly respected synth-chiselled, high-impact dancefloor sheen.  

‘Hypersonic’ takes the lead. From its widescreen planet-bounding intro to its walloping elastic bass drop, this is an ardent return to that pure thoroughbred dancefloor drum’n’bass that brought in a whole generation. Think Nero, think John B, think Mind Vortex, think Task Horizon, think getting your whole soul caved in, then rebuilt to a much higher spec, by an absolute juggernaut sci-fi stinker.

Next in this explosive vein of first degree bangercide comes ‘Party Every Day’. A mantra, a lifestyle and a fast-lane hip-shifter, all snake-like and rampant, it’s another white knuckle ride of a tune that refuses to sit in the rigid boundaries of any formal subgenre and has a bassline that cracks the whip in any mix creative mix scenario.  

‘Here We Go Again’ is the grand finale fly-by we need but totally don’t deserve. A swaggering funk jet powered by obscene levels of crude bass oil, it’s a celebration of maximalism, dynamic ridiculousness and full flavoured cake-baking energy. BEHOLD: The brand new EXCLUSIVE Korsakov Music signee SOVRYN, formerly known as Barely Royal.

Under the Barely Royal moniker, Charles Broom achieved major successes in bass house including multiple UKF uploads, regular radio support, millions of plays across his varied productions and shows supporting Chase & Status, Charlie XCX and Wilkinson on top of multiple big tours. To just name a few things.

Now, having seen all he felt he needed to see under his former name, he decided he needed a change, and the Sovryn project was born. Over 2 years in the making, the next years look to be huge for Charles with releases lined up all the way into the end of 2022 and even a debut album and loads of high profile collabs and remixes in the making.

Static Vision is the perfect encapsulation of everything Sovryn is about: beautiful melodies, catchy hooks, impeccable vocals, heavy basslines, balls to the wall sound design and frankly just plain fun.
