Three groove grandmasters take us on a ride down the backroads of the Odyssey that started recently with the same- named debut album of @hollynorth. Following their very own approach, each of them opens an entirely new chapter of this epic piece of dance music. Underher discovered a veritable source of beauty in the depths of the melancholy that resonates from the vocal of Far Away and channels it into his melodic dance sound. Arutani makes the title Epilogue sound like a sunrise watched from the edge of a wood, with wafting layers of morning mist and glistening pearls of dew in your eyes and the solid boom of an open air sound system in your back. Having made a name for himself with a constant output of unique releases, Ber-nese artist Geplantes Nichtstun debuts on Heimlich with his „Illusion of Knowled-ge“ EP. Like a lonesome rider in the desert, the opening track „Schub“ combines dusty guitar sounds and detuned arpeggios, with subtle vocal snippets and orga-nic percussions adding a touch of saloon atmosphere. „Spagat“ is an aptly titled balancing  act  between  playful  lead  sounds  and  wind  players  adding  an  extra  layer to the arrangement. Led by the extraordinary vocals of Christine, building upon a foundation of powerful but clear drum sounds and a predominant bass-line  „Remember  Me“  is  an  energetic  banger.  Berlin-based  Santi  &  Tugce  trans-form „Schub“ into an emotional hymn by adding drum recordings as well as an arpeggio line as the center of attention, putting the original‘s guitar samples to creative use. Up-and-coming Überhaupt & Außerdem keep up the vibe of the ori-ginal in their interpretation of „Schub“ while replacing the bassline to add some extra power. „The Illusion of Knowledge“ is a diverse EP, leaving you with the sub-tle and strangely satisfying feeling that you might have heard everything there is you need to know for now.

We are back with some new music. This time our friend Katabtu has conjured up something that we do not want to withhold from you. After he was already represented on one of our compilations some years ago, it is now time to add some more juice. 

The result are two deep and dark tracks that fit perfectly into the colder season of the year. You can expect rolling baselines, powerful synthesizers and hypnotic arpeggiator sounds, which will catapult you into another dimension. Make sure to turn it up loud enough so that the full power of the lower frequencies can hit your stomach. Theres a tale of a place where there was no time, no shame, pure happiness and freedom, it was called the Bar 25.
I discovered the Bar 25 in my early teens and all the pictures that i saw and the music that came out of this place inspired in me a wonderful, naive picture of night life. It grew at a time before i really knew what things like drugs and escapism were, only on the love for freedom to be whoever you want, flashy colourful lights and electronic music.
I still carry this picture with me and will never stop believing in it. When i watched the Bar 25 Movie again recently and this one little piece of music by the absolutely insane @reecode came on, i felt this image bloom in my chest and i wanted to honor this place and thank it for were it brought me.

kosha (Sanskrit कोश, IAST: kośa), usually rendered "sheath", the covering of the Atman, or Self. 

kośa is a soundsmith who brings you a flavour mixing - downtempo, acid house, minimal//deep-tech ranging from 80 to 120 bpm, electronic yet organic tunes, deep hypnotic meditative grooves and solid kicks infused with Indian, Arabic and other Ethnic influences which we beautifully term 'spiritual deeptech' a genre coined by kośa, rooted in the deepest part of India's underground scene.

ॐ//om -The great primordial sound, the original sound from which the universe was created, the sound of all sounds together. According to Hindu metaphysics everything is made of sounds (vibrations), since everything is sound, healing through it, is an ancient ritual, as sound is not only heard through our ears but vibrates within every cell of our bodies.

For us at kosa records this network gives space to connect ideas of various forms to do art for art's sake - not for social recognition. to break the rules of systematic exploitation of the artist's energy and to feel the soul in synchonicity.

We consumed too much music and it started to leak and this is when kośa evolved into a record label in January 2019 with the release of their first various artists compilation Mīmāṃsā, though the real beginnings were with our Podcast series the raga saga https://soundcloud.com/kosamusica/sets/the-raga-saga where in we showcase an hour of beautiful music from our favorite artists from around the world.

50% of all proceeds are donated to Pawbro India Foundation that aims at feeding stray dogs and other animals in Pune, India, feeding over 150 strays everyday. Part of the artists’ stream shares are directed towards these efforts.
