Everyone gets confused sometimes. There can be various reasons for this. Sometimes it´s unlikely events, sometimes it´s a lack of concentration. But sometimes it´s also the dubious views of some people that confuse us and leave us with a question mark. 

It is precisely this feeling that Kolja picks up on in his new EP “Acid Schwurbler” and transports it into an audible experience. His sounds are often on the edge of comprehensibility, but at the same time they arouse interest because they are difficult to categorize.

Viaje Astral (Astral Journey) represents the closest sound experience to what I lived on November 16, 2016, in Tepoztlán, Mexico, during the night of the Super Moon, which opened like a portal for my soul to leave my body. I can't find words to describe the journey; it was literally the turning point of my life within an ascending toroid. That's why I created this tribute to share my experience. Within it, it's crucial to highlight three very important things that we still preserve on planet Earth: Nature, Children, and Music. These are the three things through which I felt that God, the giant white whale full of love (metaphorically), gave us a second chance to live, as lifeless planets fall into darkness, into oblivion. When the original of Friend came out, it was one of the coolest tracks I'd heard in awhile. I loved how much fun the vibe was, plus the almost passive aggressive lyrics about cutting a toxic person out of your life. So when @FRNDmusic reached out asking me to remix the track, it was a no brainer. Being out on tour this fall, I was super inspired to make a hard hitting version of the song that would work in my live shows. Staying true to the original, I kept a lot of the parts and blew everything else up 10 fold for a big fat remix that I hope is just as much fun as the original.

kosha (Sanskrit कोश, IAST: kośa), usually rendered "sheath", the covering of the Atman, or Self. 

kośa is a soundsmith who brings you a flavour mixing - downtempo, acid house, minimal//deep-tech ranging from 80 to 120 bpm, electronic yet organic tunes, deep hypnotic meditative grooves and solid kicks infused with Indian, Arabic and other Ethnic influences which we beautifully term 'spiritual deeptech' a genre coined by kośa, rooted in the deepest part of India's underground scene.

ॐ//om -The great primordial sound, the original sound from which the universe was created, the sound of all sounds together. According to Hindu metaphysics everything is made of sounds (vibrations), since everything is sound, healing through it, is an ancient ritual, as sound is not only heard through our ears but vibrates within every cell of our bodies.

For us at kosa records this network gives space to connect ideas of various forms to do art for art's sake - not for social recognition. to break the rules of systematic exploitation of the artist's energy and to feel the soul in synchonicity.

We consumed too much music and it started to leak and this is when kośa evolved into a record label in January 2019 with the release of their first various artists compilation Mīmāṃsā, though the real beginnings were with our Podcast series the raga saga https://soundcloud.com/kosamusica/sets/the-raga-saga where in we showcase an hour of beautiful music from our favorite artists from around the world.

50% of all proceeds are donated to Pawbro India Foundation that aims at feeding stray dogs and other animals in Pune, India, feeding over 150 strays everyday. Part of the artists’ stream shares are directed towards these efforts.
