I was doing this as per request for a friend of mine for his video. This is the first time I am venturing in the world of Trap. And I did some fusion in it with the mix of tabla, harmoniums and that eerie sound which I leave people to decide what is that. Enjoy!!

Koshai - Mantra

This is my second full song attempt using Ableton. Trying to get myself comfortable of using the DAW, rather than using FL Studio. This time I went pure synth heavy and I made an attempt to play the keys using a keyboard. I usually draw notes and chords, but the use the MIDI keyboard opened my limits to what I do. And yes its synthwave/synthpop.

Syed Rubayyat Akbar aka Koshai (which is a Bengali word for butcher) is an electronic musician/composer/producer with his specialties focused on dubstep, electronica, drum and bass and synthpop. He has a habit of mixing different tunes from different cultures to create and still likes to explore beyond his limited knowledge through research and construct tunes while he is sleeping or in the bathroom. Having little musical background, this relentless guy will not stop until he makes sure he is finished with what he generated every tunes from his mind.

He started making electronic music back in 2003 and slowly trained himself to reach to the level he is right now. For him learning is endless and that is how it makes musicians explore their creativity to a greater extent while making new and innovative music in the process. What Koshai tries to hope is to create as much innovative tracks as possible while mixing different cultures in the process giving a message that music is not geared towards just one particular location rather than the whole world. It can only happen while sitting in the bathroom, being a nerd, and use the skills of butcher to cut, mix and cook music. Of course musicians can be a good cook.
