"We think about consciousness expanding drugs under the pretense that you will expand our consciousness so much so, that you will ultimately be left alone. That's the fear for me anyway... that I will expand my mind so much that I won't be able to relate with anybody else. The thing is that that's something that needs to be overcome because it's just a fallacy. See, I think that perhaps we operate under say a level 10... say that's the top... say that's the best. Now change it. Assume that 10 is the lowest, and that it's on the bottom. So, you have to expand your consciousness in order to understand what it is that I just said. In order to look at things in a different light... under a different perspective. So, go back to level 10 where say it's GOD, say it's the highest form you can achieve, say that this is how we're born. We're born into that. And little by little, depending on our environment, depending on our genetics, depending on our family, the location that we're born, our culture, our society, and so on and so forth... all wind up making up who we are in addition to how we are nurtured. So, it's nature and it's nurture... and it's a whole hell lot of other things as well. And they imprint themselves on us, and they make up who we are... and we want to say we are an individual... we are us... we're who we say we are. But, a lot of things had a hand in saying who you are. So the fear of using drugs in order to expand your consciousness is a valid one. No one wants to be alone... if that's what you believe is going to happen. However, I think that throughout the process of life we wind up taking on all of these other aspects and they wind up bring us from a level 10 perhaps all the way down to a level 1. So, when we expand our consciousness, maybe we're just going back to the way that it was. The way that it used to be, before we were programmed to think that we had to act a certain way in front of other people." -Davey Cadaver
