Inspired heavily by David Mancuso and the famous parties at the 
Loft in NYC in the early 70’s, Ian’s original track is an acid tinged 
prime time oor ller, which captures the essence of those heady 
days and demands to be played in it’s entirety and on nothing but 
the best sound systems. This is a party starter !!!
Included on the EP are great remixes from Mindbender, who takes 
the listener on a blissed out balearic dub excursion in to outerspace.
Paisley Dark regulars Jezebell, weigh in with a DC Go-go inspired 
workout which brings the funk to the disco whilst retaining the dark 
of the paisley.

The first premiere of the year is a track from the mind-blowing compilation coming soon on the super cool Montevideo-based label U’re Guay Records. Made with love and mate, the VA brings together almost forty (!) rising South American/Latino artists who delivered well-constructed and creative cuts encompassing many different electronic music genres. Expect Afro, House, Disco, Indie Dance, Techno, Breakbeat, and whatnot, seasoned with exotic spices and secret ingredients. Amid the roster, just to name a few, Alex Aguayo (FREEDL038), Ludviq, Fugaz, Cu Da Curuxa, Manu Barcelo (SXDNS344), Fernanda Arrau (SXDNS158), Umvral (FREEDL018/046), Panko (FREEDL051), and Imanol, the label owner himself.

Premiered here, the frenzied and electrifying contribution of the Brazilian duo Fugaz formed by Fael Cogo and Rica Terlone. With a sonority that “evokes the fantasy of Latin American nightlife when it meets the European sunset”, the lads have been slowly carving their way to stardom with solid performances and now ingenious productions. “Trupique”, the noun form of the verb “trupicar” which means “stumble”, is a theme destined to be played exclusively on packed and sweaty dance floors, preferably at peak time, due to its contagious and upbeat attitude. Brazil is definitely well-represented in this true showcase of young South American/Latino talents.

A new figure sashays their way into Bordello. In one hand, a bouquet of carnations, in the other a 12” record. Lauer. Philipp Lauer. Known for his incredible productions on labels like Running Back and Permanent Vacation, not to mention his collaborations, the German all around good guy delivers four gems. The title piece radiates warmth, clean drum patterns giving way to beaming synth bars with vocoder lyrics bopping to the bass. Light hi-hats and a wet snare are the fertile ground from which choral key shifts break to squelching acid in this addictively diverse work. The energy levels spike, like a cork spearing its way from a champagne bottle, for the unbridled enthusiasm of “Frizzante”. Piano stabs, pulsating percussion and an infectious groove. The Summer sun may have set, but Lauer is still at the “Playa” with his playful finale. An off-kilter melody ebbs and flows on a string of rhythms, dreamy tongue-in cheek synth play sailing this 12” off to the horizon.

'Local Tourist' is the second 2 track EP from Adelaide based producer and DJ, Hi, I'm Jack. Following on from his recent release of '1994', Hi, I'm Jack continues to combine groove inducing beats with euphoric sounds. This EP focuses on providing the listener a way to drift off and listen deeply with intent.

‘Sound of Nothing’ kicks the EP off with deep percussion grooves that pave the way for euphoric synth lines with melting acid that coming in and out through the track.

Void Vision - Sour (Vanzetti & Sacco Remix)

Laura Hairdressa is a rising star from Vilnius, not only a professional hairdresser but also a producer and singer with a low, deep voice that easily reminds listeners of early Madonna. Her passion for music culminated in the release of 4 debut songs, where pop structures and melodies blend seamlessly with the authentic sound of 90’s club music genres like house, breakbeat, and UK groove.

However, despite the easy-to-dance-to club music base, don't be fooled - Hairdressa's lyrics delve much deeper. Her songs touch on themes such as painful breakups, the blinding euphoria of substance use, fear of intimacy, and a zest for life. The result is a collection of beautiful and sophisticated songs that can find a place both on the radio and the dance floor.

The incredible remix support comes from beloved artists like Lauer, as well as talented musicians from Lithuania, including Auren, Cport Cistema, and Pletnev.

2017 saw the arrival of Pin Up Club at Bordello A Parigi with the cool three tracker "Friends of the Vortex". Now the Dutch partnership are back. This time a quartet of tracks has been selected to produce The Forever Machine. The bold bars of Friends of the Vortex, the romantic rushes and soundtrack silhouettes are all present with new elements being introduced to further develop a truly unique style. Breathy vocals and melancholy are countered by warm synthlines in the brooding “Valis” before the lonesome “Is There Anybody Out There?” blooms into a daringly bright work of disco dimensions. Opening the flip is the title piece. Smouldering, “The Forever Machine” burns with quivering chords that rise ever skyward on a column of tight rhythms as lyrics spiral ever upward. “A Deepness In The Sky” is a perfect illustration of Pin Up Club’s ability to transform burgeoning sombre sounds into tempered elation, rumbling strings and fragile percussion intermingling for a heady finale.
