I decided to finally get into the depths of what the Summit can do. The main pad/atmosphere is one chord, latched from start to finish. I've got looping envelopes set up and I spend most of the track fiddling with the Mod 1 ADSR to get it to move and flow. The bass and arp is provided by the Vermona perfourmer, with a bit of Ableton delay and reverb. Drums provided by a Novation drum station rack and it's all sequenced by a launchpad pro MK3. I can't stress enough that there are no external effects on the Summit.

quick and dirty jam session. I've settled on a configuration that's working quite well, the launchpad pro MK3 as the master clock/controller and Ableton acting as a glorified tape machine/effects box. Not mixed or mastered, just hit record and started playing.

Just acquired a Vermona DRM1 MK3, so I thought I'd have a play with it. The Perfourmer is providing the bass line and the Arp, with the Novation Summit doing pad duty. All sequenced on a Launchpad Pro MK3 and recorded in Ableton.

So this is the first track I've put together after switching to Ableton live and having a huge re-think about how I interact with the DAW. All performed live in one take using the following gear:

Bassline - Novation Super bass station (rack), fed in through an ART PRO Channel II, Ableton saturator, waves H reverb (mono)
High synth - Serum, gated and filtered with shaperbox 2, drenched in Valhalla shimmer
Drums - combination of loops from Splice, a 909 kit and a few vengeance samples
Piano - sample from splice, fed through shaperbox 2 and Ableton's echo plugin
