Audiofly’s Supernature label has been at the forefront of a certain type of esoteric sound within the electronic music scene since 2007, and has been instrumental in bringing artists like Solomun, Davide Squillace, Bedouin and Martin Buttrich to international exposure.  And as the label looks forward to its fifteenth-year anniversary, the taste for mystical and organic house sounds seems to be as resolute as ever, with a whole new legion of producers and DJs getting hooked into this musical movement. 

Taken from the Persian word for ‘together’, Baham is a multimedia project led by the  Montreal based artists The Doctors.  Houman Farzin & Kam Kafi, bringing together elements of  folk music reinterpreted through electronica. , Within the spirit of togetherness as part of their  artistic remit, they collaborate with vocalist and visual artist Zem on the ‘I Am Love’ EP, their debut for  Supernature supported by remixes from their longtime friends

Built upon a solid percussive rhythm , ‘I Am Love’ plays it sparsely, as an elemental bass  and drum combo anchor a colourful and kaleidoscopic mix of sweet vocals from Turkish lore, reverberating  bass clarinet and an injection space echo FX to a lovely mid-section break.  Anthony Middleton,  one half of the Audiofly team, delivers a solo effort with his ‘Reconstruction Mix’, deploying an  irresistible driving bass groove and a sophisticated final sheen to this stellar remix. 

As on the lead track, ‘Man Of Nature’ equally plays it stripped back, as the song title’s narrative is seductively serenaded over soft drums and floating keys for an intelligent and affectional production.  Wild Dark and Ariaano team up for a remix here that offers up a decidedly more brooding atmosphere, as the Spanish guitar and percussive rhythms are extenuated beautifully.

Our Brazilian Dogs "The Miners" return to Vintage Music Label and this time bringing the voices of Effluence and P. Edwards. We are very proud and excited about the EP TURN. The two tracks were worked carefully, they incorporate a more aggressive style in construction of the track and more aggressive to the Tech House drums. With vocals of the talented Effluence in the Track Turn and P. Edwards in Summer Breeze, two different voices more with a lot of energy and a unique identity!
Turn was produced in order to be a song that walked between the Nu-Disco and the Tech House, with the vocals of the US poet Effluence and synths created exclusively for this song, the tune has become very special, elegant and heavy in the same time.      
Summer Breeze is a Track made between Tech House and Techno with a remarkable groove and classic audio syntheses, this tune will definitely blow up the dance floor!

Unseen. - Ocean (Instrumental Version)

On TAU’s second release of 2021, we welcome Skatman to the family. The Berlin-based producer runs his own Scatcity label, making an impact with his deft, emotive touch, enlivening dance floors across the world and finding his way into the record boxes of some of the most influential DJs on the global circuit. More recently Skatman has dropped tracks with Innervisions and Sum Over Histories, debuting on TAU via our huge Spektrum 2 compilation in 2020. Now he’s back with a five-track EP to demonstrate the full breadth of his production prowess...

The EP kicks off with ‘Lead Master’, an eyes-down cut with a gruff, menacing riff growling alongside a spine tingling melody. Skatman develops the melody into a chorus of emotionally-charged notations, penetrating your limbic system and locking you into its irresistible rhythm. As the track evolves, swirling pads add a touch more drama, before we enter a cataclysmic breakdown and the second half.

‘Circus Fantasia’ is next, following on from ‘Lead’ this track emanates a more upbeat mood. The beats gallop along while chirpy effects dance above a groaning bassline. Skatman incorporates bright synth lines that lift the atmosphere sky high. A symphony of sounds collide, juxtaposed with the low end and creating a wonderfully whimsical cut.

Then we have ‘It Reigns Supreme’, a rugged cut with a piston-fueled, industrial heartbeat. The bass wobbles to and fro as punchy beats slap and slam, Skatman carefully building the energy with a range of organic sounding percussive elements giving this one plenty of character. An air of mystery pervades as we edge closer to a searing breakdown. The second half goes harder with the main riff roughed up and taking center stage.

Next up ‘Impulsiveness’ takes us a little deeper. This track submerges you in its subaquatic depths, as a powerful, dense bassline is surrounded by a striking melody and emotive pads. You can’t help but get lost in its web of bass tones and frequencies. A short break in proceedings is followed by more of the same, Skatman adding subtle layers to increase the depth of this immersive cut.

Lastly, ‘Talisman’ closes out the EP. Here we’re presented with a hypnotic low end that vibrates and oscillates for around a minute before an equally mesmerizing melody comes into play. Together the two elements cultivate an absorbing atmosphere guaranteed to keep you locked throughout. As the track progresses highly affecting layers are added, boosting the emotional aspect and weaving a web of wonder. Close your eyes and drift away into the ether...

Where the two actually originate, nobody knows for sure. Rumors have it that they once had a common love for sprat fishing and point their fateful meeting to somewhere on the North German Coast.
If you believe the various rumors, Zadak lost his pants in a raid by the Department of Fish and Game, while Kotelett, due to an overdose of moonshine, lost his Boating License. Both lost their Fishing Licenses and, whoops!, there went their livelihood...
What was left for them to do but abscond to the interior, a bleary-eyed and shady escape to where no one knew them by name. "From now on ...." one of the two is said to have mumbled into his beard; which one is still not known. All in all it was a perfectly logical development, since the nights were rough anyway and the lamest things always ended up in the Net...if all catfish are gray.
And so, control rod was quickly exchanged with controller, stroke side with backspin, and fog horn with fog machine. What was formerly filleted, is now being filtered, what was being caught, is now pitched. Since then they have never again scrubbed the decks, but instead record from them.
Now, wherever they drop their anchor: there blows a strong bass-breeze, sound waves rise and no shot glass remains dry. Every Mermaid has exchanged her ingenue for a good pair of dance shoes and goes crazy from the unmistakable sound of the two self-acclaimed Club- Irish. Whosoever doesn't hold tight to the bar will be swept away like the sprats in the net.
Even after days-long sets and a potently boozy fee, a glance into the crowd of faces, tanned by the thick club air, reveals all: Kotelett and Zadak remain uncompromised and bring together that which belongs together - music and magic moments.
