At the far corners of the Fusion Festival, just behind a little lake, lies a big paradise. There we could swim naked, ate delicious ice cream and danced to good music. Graced by the sun and so many friends around me, I played a set and recorded this ear-candy for you.

Nach einer wundervollen Woche in Wien bin ich immer noch ganz selig, was wohl weniger damit zu tun hat, dass @gunillasound, @dirrty-mike und ich als heilge drei königinnen geladen waren, sonder viel mehr mit der unendlichen Cutness Wiens und den Menschen darin. Danke liebe @heimlichaufsc -sweethearts für die Einladung und den wundervollen Abschluss meiner kleinen Österreich-Reise. Ich komme wirklich sehr bald gerne wieder zurück.

The Brazilian Japanese DJ Kotoe (@kotoek) comes from a Musical theater background, so it’s being an adventure to fit her past experience into the present one: singing for the first time in a set and finding the hybrid balance. We're more than glad to host this moment. In 2015 Berlin became Kotoe's home, but Sao Paulo and Tokyo are still hometowns for her.

This 126th edition was recorded in her Birthday weekend in Fort Gorgastthat’s located between Germany and Poland that exists since 1883 and a small festival called Festherum is made by friends every year around there. Festherum was the first festival that she ever met, making it a special occasion. As the theme of the Festival was “Childhood” and since She came back from Japan after collecting “not so usual” music influence, Kotoe have chosen “Alice in Wonderland” (by Lewis Carroll) as main inspiration for the podcast. 

As Alice, the DJ followed the rabbit with the watch, out of curiosity and the desire to explore a different world, each character has a representative song: the twins, the caterpillar, the cat, the flowers… Engage your senses and have fun with the trip though Kotoe's Wonderland.

We met Kotoe in the production of Festival Nomade some years ago. Since then we became friends, traveled together and had many great adventures. She played many shows with us, is resident of Tropical Twista rec and Love foundation, two projects we share many ideas with.
As we were building and hosting a stage on this years Melt! festival (@meltfestival) we just had to invite her. It was a wonderful time. 
 We hope to share more years with her, full of lakes, clubs, seas, festivals and mountains. Big love. <3

It took me a long time to decide to post this set... After a while and some requests, here it is! :)

The sunniest Summer ever and the Festival Season is now over and this celebration was a beautiful way to close this cycle.

These are the last 2 hours from a 4:30h set played in this lovely party in Birgit & Bier. It also took me a while to realize the amazing line up that I was sharing the decks with. Thank you, just thank you! Thank you @n-u, @mama-nu, @voodoohop and the Slowtribe crew; thank you Paula for borrowing me the "Bride-boobs-in-wool" outfit and the very open and excited audience that was present on this dance floor. I hope you can be transported to this shiny stage made by Lablux_! <3

PS.: Due to the difficult political times that we are living in Brazil, and at the moment of this set we were exactly one week before the 1st presidential round, this set contains a lot of Brazilian tunes. I think it's because facing this situation of not understanding how the hell we allowed our country to be under this state, I just grabbed myself to one of the most beautiful things we have: our music and culture. Então só vem!

As an actress and ten years of experience with stages and movie sets, the narrative is inevitable in her mixes. The passion for both, acting and music, dedicated her to musical theatre for years. Her arrival in Berlin then made her fell in love with electronic music and to get involved and active in several collectives such as Nomade, Tropical Twista Records, Love Foundation and Sonido Tropico.

These genres and tempos reflect her beginnings playing booty-body shake with VoodooHop to where she is right now: at the centre of the European dance riot with its clubs of deep beats, mood-encrusted vibes, and nooks and crannies where you can play with anything from lovers to politics between moments inside the music. In this world, Kotoe forged a career of being unafraid to challenge what many came to expect from the Berlin club scene, making her synonymous with dancers looking for more surprise, more genre-bending, and more movement.
