HAFS (sigla para Hate At First Sight) é o nome do último projeto techno de Maël Capilla Sanchez de Bruxelas, Bélgica. Ele cresceu tocando jazz acústico e música clássica, e lentamente decidiu passar para o techno deejaying a partir de 2017.

Seus sets são feitos de forma peculiara: ásperos, rítmicos, melódicos, cheios de bateria, um tanto quanto sombrios. Os estilos são na maioria das vezes, rave e industrial, em geral, HAFS sempre olha muito além em seu estilo com músicas que excedem os padrões.

Podemos dizer que o estilo Techno de HAFS é influenciado por produtores como Brecc, Electrorites, Gijensu, Ryuji Takeuchi, WarinD & Endlec.

A idéia por trás de seu projeto é fazer sets que soem mais longos do que realmente são, com efeitos melódicos e harmonias hipnóticas. Ele também já foi convidado em vários grandes eventos como o LaMonarch Paris, em bares como o famoso Liebe on Montmartre (Paris) inspirado em Berlim e o café Barrio em Bruxelas.

Além de colaborar com equipes de eventos como Optimal Bass (Bélgica), Distorsion events, parte de Chill2chill (Bélgica) e Hard Kapital (Colômbia), Lbat (Lille, França). HAFS viajou para a Rússia em dezembro de 2022 para tocar em Moscou pelo evento Monasterio.

Além disso, HAFS já assumiu vários programas de podcast techno como Monasterio Chamber Podcasts, Techno Cartel, no início de 2020: Shifted Radio (canal de podcast do selo Flesh and Hammers) com sede em Los Angeles EUA, Beastmode Kollektiv (Frankfurt), Voltkick (emergente grupo de techno belga) e Tracks Insanas, Brasil em 2021 (selo de techno sediado em Goiânias, Brasil), Substantiv Techno, entre outros.

HAFS é na verdade filho do versátil e experiente artista mexicano Candido Capilla. Paralelamente às suas atividades techno, Maël e seu pai dirigem um show de uma banda de música folclórica latina com a colaboração de outros artistas.

Por fim, novas mixagens, datas surpreendentes de turnês internacionais, colaborações da equipe, hospedagem de eventos e talvez (por que não?) O lançamento de sua primeira faixa é o que você pode esperar dele.
