All remixes have been curated by Spazzkid himself and include friends, collaborators, and inspirations. The remixes give a new take to the original EP released over the summer often exploring calmer and darker sides to the songs. Escaflowne - OST ~ Black Escaflowne ~

This was one of the very first songs that piqued my interest in Japanese music and art. The song comes from the subsequent film release of the animated series Vision of Escaflowne, which was the debut series for voice actress Sakamoto Maaya.  

The lyrics are a made up mesh of words, drawing inspiration from a variety of languages to come up with lyrics of a mystical new language. Thinking about it now this is quite fitting, as in my eyes music itself is the language, and the only one I feel most comfortable with. 

To this day I still have not finished watching the show that this song was from, but it still holds its significance as the start of a new journey, and it has been a pleasure to follow the works of Sakamoto Maaya and many other artists.

この曲はおそらく初めて日本の音楽に興味を持たせた歌でしょう。不思議なことに、初めて日本の歌に興味を持たせた歌の歌詞は日本語じゃありません。色んな言語をインスピレーションに歌詞が作られたそうで、何処にもない言語らしいですが、今思うとそれはとても私にあっているかもしれません。私にとって言語は音楽そのものであり、音楽は限りのないどんなモノにも通じる言語であります。そして、唯一・一番気楽に使える言語です。天空のエスカフルーネは今でも見終わっていないままですが、こういうアートのおかげで世界が段段広がって今の私が在ります。
