Our latest SORRYMIX finds our old friend and Sorry alum Darian (@darianmusic) absolutely demolishing an extended opening set at our party this month at Bossa Nova Civic Club with Oklahoma City DIY label Fixed Rhythms 🎶

Hearing Darian play this set is a real highlight of our Bossa residency so far. Track after track they were just giving it to us… pure techno/house music love was on display and they got the party up and dancing quickly. Wngdu was unfortunately late due to flight issues but Darian just kept killing it… Everyone from friends to strangers to Ed who manages Bossa were asking “who is this DJ??" "They are killing it!!!"

So happy to share this recording with y'all -- book Darian!

Since i haven’t been djing as much in 2024, my sets have often become compilations of all my favorite tracks i have on my USB. This recording is very much one of those as i played a total of like 7 Thomas bangalter/daft punk tracks throughout the night lol (some were played before started recording). I also haven’t been djing solo much at all this year so it took a lil bit to clean off the rust and get comfortable again behind the decks. Luckily as time passed i really got into a zone and you can hear it through the mix with how fast i start blowing through tracks lolll. The night was a ton of fun and im always grateful to be able to play at Bossa. One of the easiest places to let loose and really have fun with the tracks! - @darianmusic

You might know them through their work with TRANSITION — the immediate techno crew they formed alongside Linda and Julien Passajou who have appeared at parties from Lifesavers, LA party crew Gyration Station for their NYC debut, as well as at Nowadays’ Focus: Techno Origins night alongside 1morning and Detroit’s Limited Network crew. Maybe you’ve come across their collaborations with Tomu DJ or productions on V/As from Rare Frequency Transmissions, Juke Bounce Werk, or on the DJ Manny and SUCIA! curated FML Mixtape Vol. 1. Darian’s debut Surprised Emoji EP came out on Sorry Records back in 2020 and they’ve got a hotly anticipated 12” coming soon from Fixed Rhythms as well!
