Week 23

While paradise-colored birds chirp from the trees and the moss-green lianas rustle to the beat of the wind, our boat glides gently down on the waves of the river. The symphony of the jungle enchants us with its very own harmony, chaotic and yet perfectly in tune.

Suddenly a pair of shining eyes piles up in the shallows of the water, followed by a monumental mouth full of crooked, grinning teeth. Amazed and curious, we recognize the silhouette of a hippopotamus that, with wobbling ears, tells us to follow its path.

Fascinated by the wild power of nature, we lag behind our new friend, while we hear a soothing sound from the distance, accompanied by a tremendous shaking of the earth.

As we slowly get closer to the scenery, we can hardly believe our eyes: an entire horde of hippos wiggles their hips up and down to the mesmerizing sound of a trumpet. Moved by this sight, we thank our friend and let ourselves carry away by the music.

The story above describes quite well the feelings we had in mind, while we first listened to the two tracks of the sympathetic swiss duo okuma. It was clear to us, that an EP had to be the result of this experience.

Moon’s Voyager, JPattersson, Kermesse and Kusht complement this tale with their beautiful interpretations. We want to thank all artists involved in this great release as well as Kilian Van de Water for the refreshing artwork and Haunted Water for the smooth mastering.

Das Lachs-Duo Denny Dipper und Jan Lepple bouncen mit euch flussaufwärts Richtung Laichplatz. Lachse nehmen Jahr für Jahr immer den selben herausfordernden Weg auf sich um sich fortzupflanzen. Nicht so bei diesen beiden Augsburger Exemplaren. Sie ziehen es vor, ihren Laichplatz zu wechseln und beschränken sich nicht auf Natur gegebene Voraussetzungen der Libido wegen. Forschenden ist schon länger bewusst, dass die Beiden kaum etwas mit herkömmlichen Lachsen zu tun haben. Sie tanzen sozusagen aus der Reihe und teilen sich ihr Revier unter anderen mit den berüchtigten Lila Katzen. Was dabei rauskommt, ist ein Paarungs-Verhalten, welches Expert:innen als eine Art musikalische Libido interpretieren. Ihre Schwarmbildung ist im allgemeinen unter dem Begriff "Fantabulosa Kollektiv" bekannt.
Erstmals überhaupt, ist es nun der Purple C.A.T. Crew gelungen diesen excessiven Lachs-Akt in einer Tonaufnahme zu dokumentieren. Das Ergebnis soll euch nicht vorenthalten bleiben. Fishy-Libido-Mukke, die Lila Katzen masturbieren lässt....

Purple-C.A.T.'s Casting-Couch #2 by Lachs&Libido

Wow, I still can't quite believe it happened. Because Gerd Janson had to cancel at very short notice due to illness, I got to play on the beautiful Seebühne (Do 26.06. 17:30-19:30). Of course there was no time to prepare anything, so I just combined a few new tracks with some of my favorites. Despite the simultaneous opening of Turmbühne and a rain shower halfway through the set, the floor was packed throughout the whole set, thanks to all of you dancers and now have fun with the recording <3

After a very, very, very incredible weekend and event in Istanbul we are back into our virtual office at the beautiful city of Dubai. We find ourselves today working with the amazing crew of Swingers Dubai, co-creating what will be our Dubai's debut this Friday at El Chiringuito.

Dunkle Wolken ziehen auf. Ein Grollen in der Ferne kündet das uns bevorstehende, Unheil an. Immer näher kommt es auf uns zu. Immer heller zucken lange, neongelbe Blitze am dunklen Himmel auf die Erde herab. Immer lauter werden die Donnerschläge und auf einmal ist es direkt über uns. 

Kein entkommen ist mehr möglich und Blitz & Donner hypnotisieren uns so sehr, dass wir nicht mehr tun können als einfach nur regungslos da zu stehen obwohl es in unserem Inneren wild brodelt. 

Ausgelöst wird dieses wilde, innerliche Toben und die faszinierende hypnotische Endzeitstimmung von unseren Freunden von GYRL*.
