HELL YES! You knock me out :)))))) can't deny GAP band <3  - also, since you brought up rollerskating music, I dare you to go Kirk Franklin on the Pagan crowd (I grew up immersed in televangism-esque CULT-ure)... I knew it blew my mind at Mutek/Boiler Room 2013 when Rob Hood dropped some gospel house. I recorded it for my mom and said "my church is just a lil diff'rent"... of course, I was lost in K-space when I recorded it. Only people who grew up having christianity crammed down their throats will understand this post. But just because I don't believe in a deity in particular doesn't mean I don't believe in God - it's just redirected faith <endrant>.

Late 2013 their most recent album 'Chrome Waves' dropped, and now they have finally found some time to start up their first weekly radioshow for Dutch FM radio station SUBLIME FM. 
Don't expect their regular dj sets, which are more clubby, but more a dynamic mix of smooth, raw, rare discotheque and warehouse finds in f.e. funk, soul, jazz and disco, combined with the more contemporary dancefloor sounds of nu disco, deephouse and electronica of today.

Boogie Angst is a real go to label for Le Visiteur. Helmed by the inimitable Kraak & Smaak it’s a label which is keeps the Nu Disco flame burning bright. Whilst delving into broader the universe delivering real quality every single time.

One of the highlights of the year for us are their Editions compilations, a series which is now clocking up it’s Fourth Annual Edition. As always they have pulled together some of their regular label artists and paired them with some new additions to the fold, rounding up some of the finest moments from the labels last 12 months alongside some VERY hot new tracks.

Kraak & Smaak (Dutch: [ˌkraːk ɛn ˈsmaːk]) is a musical production trio from the town of Leiden, Netherlands, consisting of Oscar de Jong, Mark Kneppers and Wim Plug. The three began recording in 2003. Their first album, titled Boogie Angst, was released in the UK 2006, and they began performing at music festivals and at clubs in the US and UK. Their songs were played on the radio and were used in television shows. Their second album, released in 2008, was titled Plastic People. They won an EBBA. Their third album, Electric Hustle, was released in 2011.

I remember a whole bunch of early Kraak & Smaak 12"s, Squeeze Me with Ben Westbeech, Funk Ass Rotator and then the iconic Henrik Schwarz remix of No Sun In The Sky that would also massively stick it's head out on the K7 Henrik Schwarz Live! compilation album. A really cool moment in time. 

Later Wim Plug invited LYMA and myself to release two 12" on their label Boogie Angst , namely Games Change and No Time and the collaboration helped solidifying LYMA and my relationship and was a great experience altogether.

Happy to welcome these legendary artists to the series.
