The classically trained Danish pianist and producer Troels Hammer is unfolding yet another story with his new album ‘House Of Memories’.

His compositions are warm and human, playing with the principles of ambient music in both deep rhythms and beatless compositions.

Amongst the compositions is ‘Fly Salmon Fly’. The tune lets you follow the journey of the wild Norwegian salmon life cycle. From hatching in Norway’s famous fjords, and heading out to saltwater feeding grounds, before enduring the stressful journey upstream, returning to their native rivers to spawn. Troels makes this astonishing journey seem elegant and pleasing, thereby making one interpret the passage of existence.

Troels has also done a cover of Aphex Twin – Avril 14th. The melody draws one back to the flowers blooming in spring. Just like the meaning of Avril – “to open” – springtime lets nature open and unfold its annual transformation.

The title track 'Memorial Mountains' and the album itself are dedicated to Troels dear friend and their friendship. A friend Troels lost a few years back in the Alps. Troels says "we did many things together - fishing in Norway, skiing in the mountains, drinking coffee and having a story together from Africa. Sometimes our families travelled along in South East Asia - it was good times!"

The album is also dedicated to the beautiful life- giving nature - mother earth - that Troels and his friend loved.

With a pure sense of catching the atmospheric presence, Troels effortlessly encaptures the listener and makes one move through moments in space and time with ease.

Andre Com is a well know name in the game since he had his real break through in 2012 after being active as a DJ and producer for many years before. His label OFF Recordings grew into one of the leading underground house labels of today, since he founded it in 2008 after moving to Berlin. Right now he's recreating his and OFF Recordings style. If you know Andre you can hear that something has changed in his mix. The music is still accessible for the dance floor but at the same time it became more emotional and melodic. And maybe it also became more personal.

Step 3 of the path is minimalism as bright as the reflection of light on snow, melancholic as missing someone you love. A sharp rhythm, like a wound that had not healed,
the bass line breathes, swells and makes the groove move with a sense that takes it even deeper, the harmony that emerges from what could be a sample taken from a child's toy, raises a melody perhaps from a marimba, introducing you to the hole of the burrow where those strings appear that release an arrangement, like a pain from the past.
And so the voices with mountain echoes, continue the story of healing that complements this theme that was channeled in France.
As well as Mathieu Bigot a.k.a @myga_music, a French artist Paris based, with roots in academic music, involved in two more musical projects with which we have already collaborated in the past.

SOME KIND OF BLUES no brass edit

Beginning at 23:30 on Saturday May 16th and through 3:00 Monday May 18th, 2009 Chilly Gonzales broke the Guiness World Record for longest concert by a solo artist. The previous record was 26 hours and 12 minutes and was performed by Prasanna Gudi (India) at the Mallikarjun Mansoor Kala Bhavan public auditorium, Dharwad, Karnataka, India from 28 to 29 December 2008.

Gonzales explained his motivation: “I will do this to push my musical and physical stamina. I believe music is part art, part athletics and this 27-hour concert will demonstrate both aspects.”

Gonzales had been consulting with the Guiness Book of Record to ensure a smooth attempt and an Official Guinness Judge adjudicated the event on site. Repertoire touched on recognizable songs from all eras and styles of music, in new and surprising arrangements. There was no repetition of material during the attempt. As Gonzales himself said “I will break the record without sounding like a broken record”.

The record attempt took place at the theatre of notable French film director Claude Lelouch, Theatre Ciné 13 in Paris. The attempt in its entirety was streamed live on the web and achieved #2 Twitter Trend status at its peak.
