Finishing off the initial "series" of Krab's vinyl-only records in style, KRB003 centres around 3 signature cuts from German duo Cedric Dekowski & Felix Reifenberg and a stellar remix from Yamen & Eda. The EP divulges into the multi-genre capabilities and eclectic nature of the HardWorkSoftDrink label owners, as there are seamless transition between genres, modular synths and all things in between are highlighted throughout the label's latest record.

Starting off with a slow burner, Act 1 is a hypnotic listen, formed around strung out sounds, glitchy breakdowns and a captivating overlaying melody. Laus highlights the pairs unique ability to shift genres seamlessly as they deliver a cut full of heavy hitting acid and emotion heavy synths suitable for any dance floor.

Internet dial up appears the theme throughout the B-side, as Feelsliker delivers a fast paced minimal roller that is stacked to the brim with bleeps, bloops and modular madness. Finishing off the record is a remix from French Duo Yamen & Eda, a pair of artists that boast a distinguished taste for electronic music. Dance floor ready, B2 is constructed around a heavy hitting bass line and an assembly of inimitable modular synths.

KRB004 welcomes the start of the second series of vinyl-only records from the Australian based label. The highly anticipated release enlists the work of Manchester based Nolga, who recently solidified himself as a staple throughout the scene with a string of killer releases. Having been tried and tested across numerous dance floors, Nolga's latest EP continues with his signature style of minimal house as he delivers a pair of bouncy minimal rollers complimented by two huge remixes from Romanian heavyweights Arapu & Nu Zau.

KRB001 introduces the first of many vinyl-only releases from newfound Australian based record label Krab Records. 

After the huge success of his Hoarder release, the label enlists the work of Argentinian Maestro Bernat, who delivers a masterclass of Minimal House compiled over 3 uniquely sampled, vibrant tracks. Finishing off the release is a mind-blowing remix from fellow compatriot and close friend Dani Labb, that divulges into his signature deeply cut style.

After the huge success of their first release, Krab Records welcomes some new but familiar faces to their second record. Having showcased some of the best new artists coming out of South America, the second release changes shores, as Krab produces a record brimming with Europe's best minimal house selectors. 

KRB002 enlists original tracks from Italian born Dubfluss, who delivers two atmospheric, dreamy cuts taking the listener on a very upbeat trip. The B-side showcases an intricate remix from Lee Burton, who provides a signature spaced out roller. To finish off their second 12", Rubisco's head honcho Nick Beringer changes the pace, creating a proper dance floor bomb.

After a breakthrough year in 2019, Krab Records unveils a new series to kick start their 2020. The label delivers a hand picked cast of artists tasked with delivering their own take on Krab's quickly growing sound in the first of many Vinyl-Only releases. Having seen a contingency of past artists derive from Europe and South America, KRBVA001 is no different, enlisting heavy hitters from each continent in its inaugural Various Artists record.

Argentinian Neik provides the perfect start to KRBVA001 with his signature style, providing a glitched out roller with infectious energy. A2 is a bouncy minimal house groover, complimented by a contagious vocal sample from Canary Islander Juliche Hernández. The B-Side follows suit, as Prodot delivers a dancefloor bomb fabricated around an infinite amount of intricate sounds, leaving Just_Me to finish off the EP with a tune formed around a heavy hitting bassline suitable for any dancefloor.

After a long break, we are back with a bang, and who better to feature next then our Krab Records Residents and some friends?

Our residents/owners 2 For 7, teamed up with Harrison Saul & Daleh on Anzac Day Morning, and managed to record 2 hours of their 4.5HR set during the label's takeover of S*A*S*H Sunday's 12th Birthday in Sydney, for the infamous Breakfast session.

A new year and a new Krabcast look, after the re-brand earlier this year. We now focus our effortson all things house, photography and art.

With great pleasure we bring you Krabcast number 10!!! We have officially hit double digits, thanks to everyone so far for the support.

Our next instalment is from none other than Mr Agustin Martin aka. Nektar Agu. Born in 1992 Agustin is a native to the province of Buenos Aires, Argentina. He began his career as a musician in 2008 inspired mostly by the underground scene of several countries, such as Romania, Russia and Germany.
This led to a strong development of the influences that have marked his characteristic sound.
We can define his music as techno with minimalist IDM break sounds, and organic atmospheres or dissonant pads, connected texture and versatility suited to the dancefloor outcomes. With the release of his first EP '' Bad Habits' and his participation in collaboration with Yaroslav Lenzyak entitled '' 2019 '' (both released by renowned Berlin label Sleep is Commercial), Nektar won the support of many artists around the world. This included renowned names like Ricardo Villalobos, Barem, Blond:ish, Franco Cinelli, Mihai Popoviciu, Vid aka. Egal3, Bella Sarris, Arapu, Barac, Nu Zau, Faster, Pheek, S.A.M., Cesar Merveille, Chad Andrew, Kozo, Crihan, Jessica Diaz, Zendid among others, who have all supported and played his tracks. In this way he was able to play alongside with local and foreign artists as Barac, Lowris, Ferro, Xandru, Piticu, U-More, Laylla Dane, Funk E, Vincentiulian, Petar Cvetkovic, Jorge Savoretti, Alan Castro and many others.

Hailing from just north of Manchester, UK DJ and Producer Nolga is becoming an ever-familiar name in the Minimal House scene.  The artist begun 2019 in impressive fashion, delivering a collaborative EP with Michael James on iO Mulen’s Hoarder imprint. The release sold out almost instantaneously, proving to be a testament not only to his production abilities, but to why he is becoming a highly sought after artist throughout the industry.

The remainder of this year sees Nolga focus on a few solo endeavors. The up and comer has a few EP releases confirmed, releases that were blasted by Arapu at the latest Sunwaves Festival in Romania.  2019 and onwards looks like the perfect time to keep an eye on the young artist as me maintains his steady growth inside the scene.

Delving deep into Sydney's underground soundscapes for the last 5 years, Marley Sherman has quickly gained momentum among punters and promoters alike for his tasteful selections and versatility from warm up to closing. Marley’s adaptability towards a Sydney scene blossoming with countless genres has seen him play at all of its mainstay events, including sets at S.A.S.H, Mantra Collective and New Years Festival, Lost Paradise. 

Having such a prolific role throughout the Sydney nightlife scene has scene Sherman warm up for some of the industries biggest names, which include the likes of Daniel Bell, Djebali, Dana Ruh, Delano Smith, Ferro, Malin Genie, Sonja Moonear and most recently, Silat Beksi.

Forthcoming in the next week is KRB002, our second vinyl-only release. With the record so close to release, we are very fortunate and eager to showcase an hour long mix from remixer Nick Beringer, who’s mix provides the perfect example of not only why we were so eager to have him on board but why he is one of the most sought after artists in the industry. 

It is often said of Nick Beringer that he is a defender of the good old Berlin style. What that means is instead of flashy tricks and effects-heavy sets, he locks people in with his perfect pacing, timely selections and long mixes. Atmospheric house, dub techno and freakier electro define his always journeying soundtracks. Of course, he will also pull out the classics and jump through styles to suit the mood of amore playful party, or trip you out with weirdness at the afters. Either way, a knowing skill underlines everything he does in the booth.

Nick started out in indie bands playing guitar, eventually moving on to making his
own beats and sampling from his Nintendo GameBoy, the only electronic sounds he had to hand. A move to Berlin to study lead him on an exploration of the city’s nocturnal soundscapes. A fascination with nineties house and garage informed his first releases, and also lead him to an enduring friendship with Beste Modus.

Initially a vinyl-only DJ inspired by the analogue warmth, human roughness and deep feelings of the likes of Mike Huckaby and Moodymann, Nick eventually evolved his set up and now uses all tools at his disposal to find his perfect sweet spot.
Since 2015 he has spent a few days a week in his studio, meditating on music
and going wherever the mood takes him. As such he will often find himself making
ambient, hip hop or techno without knowing how he got there. “If you’re only trying to chase a certain style that is fashionable right now, tracks will always sound forced,” he says rightly. “What I’m trying to do is to pick out my favourite pieces from modern styles, but take them back to the old school Detroit and Berlin kinda approach, which is stripped down and club focused house music.”

Inspired to turn on his hardware by a wide range of starting points, Nick is able to
strip things right down to their bare essentials and still suck in the dancers and make a lasting impression. Evidence of this comes in his diverse discography on labels like Taverna Tracks, Dorian Paic’s Raum Musik, a forthcoming remix on Krab Records, and his own label Rubisco where he can release whatever he likes. Past EPs like Nocturnal, Passage or Slope & Dip showcase his seamless mix of the old and the new and have resulted in truly timeless club tracks.

All of this has made Beringer an in demand name by tasteful clubs and crews across Australia, Europe and at hotspots like Watergate and Tresor. His own crew, which also hosts parties in clubs like Griessmuehle and Ipse, is a thriving collective full of creativity and is one of the reasons Nick Beringer is now an essential part of house and techno conversation in Berlin and beyond

Krabcast 019 features Romanian Talent Dubgrade. Stemming from Transylvania, Dubgrade, a member of the infamous Monocord agency, is an individual who has a strong passion for house music. The Romanian started playing in a local clubs at the age of 14, resulting in an extensive pallet of musical knowledge, driven by over 13 years of DJing experience.

Focusing on a multi-genre selection of non-commercial minimal influenced house tracks, and an emphasis on house and techno, Dubgrade creates an animated, crowd-pleasing experience in every set he plays.

Having such a presence in the scene has allowed Dubgrade to share the booth with artists like; Archie Hamilton, Seb Zito, TOMAN, Andrey Pushkarev, Mihai Popoviciu, Markus Homm, Rhadow, Ada Kaleh and many more. His extensive list of artists is only second to the number of festival appearances the Romanian boasts, playing at the likes of Electric Castle Festival, Untold Festival, Neversea Festival, Murmur Festival, Airfield Festival, Famous Festival, Motion Festival, Secret Forest and Nature Calls.

In between his Romanian gigs, Dubgrade has begun internationally touring, playing in Amsterdam (The Loft, Oosterbar), Zürich (Frieda's Büxe) and other European Countries

For Krabcast 20 we bring you one of Frankfurt’s top underground selectors, Florian Kopp. Hailing from both Germany and France, the maestro began his love for electronic music and DJing around the turn of the century, boasting nearly 20 years of experience. Kopp is known worldwide for his thoughtfully playful mixes, with his sets including glitchy breaks, magnetic groove and lots of smiles. Florian is also a member of the notorious Abartik Records crew, which has seen him play consistently across all of Europe, as followers flock to get a taste of his eclectic selections.

A dusty drum computer and some second-hand speakers were all of the tools necessary to get this young man, now going under the moniker of Sota, hooked on producing. DJ’ing for many years already, it was the sound of icons such as Terekke and Brawther that lured him to the craft of making music.

With his roots firmly planted in the south of Spain and growing up in the less tropical Dutch polder, Sota’s sound makes two distant worlds collide. Southern soul with crunchy warmth is underpinned by stripped-down and functional bass lines. The capability of skillfully blending together elements of dub, Chicago and techno is also translated in his DJ sets. Known for carefully constructed atmospheres and floor focused energy, these sets never fail at moving crowds physically and emotionally.

Australian born spinstress Monika Ross is an artist who constantly raises her head above the barrier. Miss Ross evades easy categorisation: her sets reflect a wealth of ideas and creativity, with sounds deeply rooted into deep organic dub, tech and jazz, always adding the right amount of sensuality to her mixes and productions. Her tracks are powerful yet refined, characterised by swinging percussive grooves and infectious bass lines.
The dance floor hasn’t been the only outlet for Monika: working as a professional audio engineer for BBC London as well as releasing with labels such as Serialism, Metroline Limited, Organic Art Movement and FA>IE make up Monika’s accomplished musical background. Her ability to stimulate a crowd, push the boundaries and her enviable record collection make Miss Ross a much sought ­after artist.

Krabcast 26 is from the young Canarian owner of Downhill Music, Juliche Hernandez. Focusing on a very deep and dark French house style, Juliche's  sound has become very well known throughout the International house scene. Having started his productions in 2011, he has not stopped since, signing on labels like Viva Music, House.On.Wax, PIV Records, Sobriquet and Kina Music. Headquartered in Gran Canaria, he is a resident of EveGroup, a collective on the Island who centre out of biggest club on the island, Mood Club.
