From the man himself "I put this mix together as I’m getting ready to come to SF and play Space Cowboy’s Haunted Hoedown at the end of the month. I just made a breaks remix of Six Shooter specifically for the Hoedown that seemed appropriate. I included it in this mix along with a bunch of breaks and house tunes that are really hitting the spot for me right now. In my experience nobody does Halloween like SF and I’m stoked to come rock with Space Cowboys and come Hoedown with you all!"

This set was first performed on January 1st 2024 in San Francisco at the Breakfast of Champions block party on the Space Cowboys main stage.

A RE:CONSTRUCTED set is a *long* way removed from a standard DJ set. It's a live/hybrid set.

Simon takes hundreds of tracks from his huge library, painstakingly deconstructs them (using Ai if needed to separate elements from the original tracks), and then pieces everything back together to create a hugely emotive and immersive musical story.

He uses Ableton Live and multiple controllers to trigger up to 16 individual channels of audio at any one time during the performance, and also performs live keyboard overdubs. The end result is a hugely addictive, compulsive and compelling blend of music that's often new, often familiar but always utterly unique.

Breakbeat Breakfast Reconstructed - Jan 2024

Ayyyyy! If you were at Breakfast of Champions x It's a New Day this year, I hope you had as much fun as I did! I book-ended the party, mixing video on the Mog at the beginning and DJing on the BoC Space Stage to close the party out. Huge thanks to the happy crowd out there at the end—you made my night and helped kick off 2024 with an incredibly positive boost. 

Here's my set from the party! As usual, I put a lot into it—editing, layering samples and acapellas—and I was also inclined to detoured into DnB for a bit. Enjoy!

Back in April, I just needed a good old-fashioned hangout, and Chuck rolled up like the legend he is.
Around midnight, we decided to spin some tunes. Now, we've jammed in one of our studios for years, but somehow never hit the record button. So, me being the wisecracking’ whiz I am, I figured—why not roll tape?

We freestyled our way through a mix session, riffing on music, DJing, and just vibin’ like the dynamic duo of RAMRODS we are.
The result? A raw, off-the-cuff, late-night blend of beats, banter, and basslines.
