A Lamp Looking Oddly Flat" by KENUTRAB Inspired by the intriguing Reddit story about an odd lamp, KENUTRAB takes listeners on a brooding dub journey into the unknown realms of the multiverse. The track's deep, immersive soundscapes evoke a sense of mystery and exploration.
It's OK to Close Your Eyes" by Inza draws inspiration from the rare groove days when the world was filled with hope and glee. This track masterfully blends nostalgic vibes with contemporary dub techno elements, evoking a sense of nostalgia and inspiring new auditory possibilities.
"Oddly Close" lives on the fringes of dub techno, pushing boundaries and inviting listeners to experience the sound from a different perspective.

This piece was performed by me last year in Wrocław, Poland. I was invited there as part of the annual Ambientalny Festival. Along with some video snippets from the performance, I wanted to share a few excerpts of what took place. Kairogen is a DJ and producer from Glasgow, Scotland. In the two years she has been active as a DJ she has played some of the UK’s biggest clubs and festivals, including a residency with Slam’s Return To Mono at Sub Club, as well as supporting acts such as Avalon Emerson and Perc. 

A background of working in clubs and an education in visual arts has shaped Kairogen’s approach to playing and making music, enjoying textural rhythms and emotive melodies. Kairogen’s style can vary from ambient pieces through to house and techno - preferring to choose in the moment what seems fitting for the context and time rather than subscribing to a particular genre. Previous releases have been on labels such as Soma Records and deep techno label Space Textures.

When two collaborative projects come together, the result is bound to be exceptional. The Valenz remix by the GALÁN / VOGT duo exemplifies this perfectly. They have taken on a track from the acclaimed "Overlay" album by Guentner | Spieth and transformed it into something entirely new and captivating.

Galán, known for his innovative ambient textures, and Vogt, a master of minimalistic yet profound soundscapes, bring their unique talents to this remix. They focus on a few key sound particles from the original track, carefully avoiding too much proximity to create a fresh and distinct interpretation. The remix retains the essence of the original while shining in a completely new light, showcasing the duo's ability to reimagine and revitalize music.

The result is a moving and evocative piece that highlights the collaborative spirit and creative synergy between these artists. This stunning rework will be released on August 30th, offering listeners a glimpse into the harmonious blend of two distinctive musical visions.

Welcome to yet another hypnotic experience, in this case by the great https://soundcloud.com/mateohurtadomusic.

Mateo Hurtado creates hypnotic techno and experimental music. Inspired by the surrealist movement, obscure symbolism and ritualistic incantations, his music seeks to invoke the hidden, impossible images buried in the unconscious.

Be it as a DJ or live performer, his intuitive approach seeks to overcome conventional boundaries of the genre, sending the listener on an ever spiralling journey through polyrhythmic drumwork imbued with otherworldly melodies and dronelike, shifting atmospheric soundscapes.

He has released on labels like Annulled Music, Secuencias Temporales, Space Drum Meditation and Accents Records among others.

Joachim Spieth presents his new project, "Retrace," on his eminent electronic label, Affin.
Dub influences and cooling, ambient electronics blend to create complex, aqueous soundscapes. The seven track album reveals detailed textures and crystalized melodies that captivate the imagination. Like glittering drops of water, the sound elements combine to slowly filter through sonic biotopes until they extend across the spectrum in full frequency.
In “Retrace”, Spieth offers a fresh perspective on ambient soundscapes while retaining the signature elements that have come to define his musical identity. “Retrace” unfolds with meticulous precision, leading listeners through a labyrinth of sonic possibilities where every sound and texture serves a purpose in the narrative.

During the 11th International Drone Day we attempted once more to make a noise together that stretches around the globe, a sonic defiance of borders. Amidst such ongoing horror, i believe it’s so important to take moments to resource ourselves and get in touch with our subtle bodies, to offer love to ones cells. Drone has the transformative power to awaken tiny vibrations in our skin, between bones, and tickling the fascia.

t r a n s i e n c e is honoured to have a new generative composition from multi-instrumentalist, drone extraordinaire Olle Holmberg. The piece, Untitled (Consequence of Sound) employs a series of subharmonic sevenths creating a floating feeling somewhere between major and minor. This is a music for folding the past and future into the present. We’re also humbled to include some fragments from ‘The Jewel Maker, The Great Tantra on the Consequence of Sound’, which offer some ancient wisdom apt for these times.

The episode begins with a new piece from myself, a repurposed ending, kind of low-fi, cosy duvet embrace for melancholic moments for feeling held. Slow and minimal, i invite you to dive into the feathers and get lost in the folds.
