"I grew up listening to men rap about women for men. Outside of Tupac and Common, I rarely heard a song about love that reflected my experience with a woman. Unless it was talking about the negatives of a relationship.  As I started trying to write these songs, mad friends and collaborators would get weird about it. They’d get uncomfortable and push their own insecurity when I started talking about my experience with women I’ve been with on the track. I’m glad I’m around grown enough people who allow me to express my reality. In short if you feel off about it, It’s not for you g. It’s for her." (REMI)
