Literally translated as ‘break chains’ in Aruban creole, and broadly referencing the breaking of colonial chains of imperial oppression, this six track EP of tense, brooding rhythms is driven and gritty. Spanning mutated psychedelic dub, Giallo-tinged cinematix, frenzied insidious acid, and methodically churning crispers, this stunning work is singular in its execution and focused in its vision. Visceral, heady, and relentless, this dark, genre-defying gem is a tour de force in sonic mastery.

R.I.O. welcomes Pieter Kock aka DJ Peacock, one of the guiding souls behind the Berlin based bar/micro club O Tannenbaum. Musically active since 1986 as singer, guitarist, drummer and noisemaker, Peter already released a string of albums under different aliases like Billie and Ballie, The Hitmachine and Taladu. Since the early 1990s he narrates haunting sonic stories as a DJ, playing a vast palette of styles - from cosmic and leftfield techno to tape experiments, sound-art, wave, world, jazz, punk, industrial, and all that weird pop music. Last year saw him liberating his first solo recordings under his civil
name as a cassette tape named “Flocks & Murders of Entitled Spirits”, dropped by the Berlin/Vilnius based label Musikii. It unreels twelve sensitive tunes, made with the help of online synths and drum computers, Youtube travel- andtalk show-videos or samples from Youtube synths- and rhythm boxdemonstration videos. Now he refined his idiosyncratic style of music crafting a bit deeper and shares “Facial Recognition” – a gently twisted album that unites hypnagogic pop, library dances, cosmic funk, leftfield grooves and
experimental sonic zones under one roof. His seven found sound tunes are layering a rhizomatic veil of unidentifiable web sounds, all transmuted into hazy looped ambiances, that trigger unconscious brain activities with future samples from the past, woven rhythm structures and a simultaneity of moments, derived from myriad world wide web informations. When it’s true, that nothing can have value without being an object of utility, then Pieter Kock managed to give the internet a new rate while using its manyfold informations as a tool to create art. Art, whose originality isn’t defined by the creator’s
playful virtuosity. Instead, his sensibility of deciphering unheard rhythms, harmonies, and melodies in an avalanche of prefabricated ideas is his mastery.
Pieter Kock transformed them into unfamiliar compositions with a familiar touch, that can evoke the feeling of being synchronous in a world of the many.
A data rain without drops, a stream of consciousness without cognizance. Come in, drop out.

Welcome to the world of Drone, a London-based label founded by producer, artist and Death In Vegas guiding light Richard Fearless. An outlet for dancefloor distortion and other musical explorations. Created in the Metal Box, Drone will release oscillations in many forms.

For this, the debut outing Richard Fearless lays the mandate in the form of Higher Electronic States - proto-techno, peaktime acid. Analogue electronics, hammer-horror strings underpinned with drums to blow apart any floor. This is music made for very dark, smoke filled rooms with absurd lazers.

Crème Organization & M>O>S Recordings mainstay D’Marc Cantu picks up remixes duties on the flip toning things down in tempo but certainly not tension.  Full stream of this coming soon.

KREIDLER are Thomas Klein, Alexander Paulick, and Andreas Reihse.

The band was founded in 1994, with their debutRiva released 1994 on the Parisian label En Contresans. This was to be the first of 28 releases, with #29 the upcoming album SPELLS AND DOUBS in 2022.

KREIDLER played throughout Europe, Asia and America. In techno clubs, in rock venues, in concert halls. At festivals like Sonar, Roskilde, Nrmal, SXSW, or Cervantino. Commissioned by Goethe-Institut the band toured Sout-East-Asia and Mexico.
KREIDLER performed in museums and art galleries: at the Van Dyck retrospective in Antwerp, for Rosemarie Trockel, Thea Djordjadze, Mike Kelley, or in The MoMA NYC and in the Centre Pompidou Paris for Andreas Gursky. For a project of Djordjadze and Trockel they collaborated in 2019 with singer Asmik Grigorian at Elbphilharmonie, an extension to an exhibition at Deichtorhallen Hamburg.

KREIDLER'S music was presented in installations at Transmediale, at Image Movement , at italic Berlin, or - for 2 years - in Mischa Kuball's res·o·nant at Jewish Museum Berlin.
They contributed to artists books such as Deutsch - Young German Photography, Toit du Monde, Romantik. Their videos are regularly screened at film-festivals e.g. in Barcelona, Valencia, Baden-Baden, and Munich. Au-Pair, La Casa, Moth Race, and Tornado were awarded at Internationale Kurzfilmtage Oberhausen.

KREIDLER'S musical collaborateurs include Klaus Dinger (NEU!, la Düsseldorf), Add (N) to X, Pyrolator, Young Gods, Leo Garcia, Chicks on Speed, or Anika.
They remixed artists like Einstürzende Neubauten, Depeche Mode, Edward, Faust, or Eurythmics.

KREIDLER music has graced the catwalks of Lagerfeld, Chanel, Lacoste, 22/4 _Hommes_Femmes, or Giles Deacon.
It is featured in films, plays and in the modern-dance - e.g. in Pina Bausch's Ten Chi or in Eva Meyer-Keller's Polaroid.
They worked with authors like Jacob Wren, Nick Currie/ Momus, Theo Altenberg, Mark von Schlegell, or Ricardo Domeneck. In 2015 KREIDLER'S collaboration with Sibylle Berg started, participating in touring lecture performance Der Tag, als meine Frau einen Mann fand, continued in 2018 supporting p≡p coop at re:publica#18, and in 2019 and 2020 for exclusives shows in Kassel respectively Augsburg.

KREIDLER composed soundtracks for Alexandra Sell's acclaimed movie Durchfahrtsland / Remote Area / Terre de Transit, for Tommy Pallotta's / Femke Wolting's The Last Hijack and it's extended online version - that was awarded with a Digital Emmy in 2015.
KREIDLER has an ongoing collaboration with Heinz Emigholz. Emigholz accompanied their album DEN in 2012/13 with 7 films. In 2014 KREIDLER contributed the music to The Airstrip. Emigholz' movie 2+2=22 (The Alphabet) is built around KREIDLER'S ABC recording session in Tbilisi, and premiered at the Berlinale film festival in 2017. In 2020 the band provided the score for The Last City.

In March 2019 KREIDLER celebrated the 10th anniversary of Mosaik 2014, with a remastered edition with an updated track list, and in a surround audio installation, Mosaik 2014 Seven Speakers, at italic Berlin. In Autumn 2019 KREIDLER released FLOOD. Forthcoming, in January 2022 is the album SPELLS AND DAUBS.
