Kretek Beats is a The Hague/Rotterdam-based dynamic duo performing a spicy sonic experience inspired by the energy of volcanic archipelago, Indonesia. Formed by the Yogyakarta and Bandung multi-instrumentalists, the duo is bringing multiple layers of mystical sound through acoustic frequencies, aristocratic sound of western classical music combined with electronic twist. The music and soundscapes created are based on semi improvised playground, inspired by the Indonesian way of living where improvisation and adaptations in life is in its core value. This philosophy delivers an unique experience for the audience, where the outputs of each performance are different.
