The Eighth Addition of the Vol 2. ABS Podcast series warmly welcomes Dutch-house specialist, Toman. With a super special mix on the horizon it features 100% of his own unreleased tracks and collaborations.

Now based in Amsterdam, he moved to the Dutch capital in early 2018 — and has barely had time to pause for breath since. A producer who boasts an impressively prolific streak, Toman started his musical journey at an early age by learning to play the drums. In recent times, His unique take on house and techno has led him to much-renowned outlets such as @we_r_house, @pivrecords, @cyclicrecords, and @blindvisionrecords. In terms of gigs for 2019, Toman is scheduled to play at the Easter Awakenings alongside some of the biggest names in the game, as well as @straf_werk Festival in the middle of August. 

Smoothly transitioning from minimal through to the deeper side of house, Toman’s diverse musical outlook is refreshingly hard to categorise and evident through his mix, where he boasts tracks scheduled for release later this year alongside some unsigned gems.

Black Loops returns to Freerange for the follow up release to his 2018 EP
entitled 7Hills, one of the labels biggest vinyl sellers of recent years and
another reminder of why Riccardo Paffetti is one of the most consistent and
prolific house producers on the scene. With recent releases on Madhouse, Toy
Tonics, Neovinyl and Traxx Underground, as well as remixes for the likes of
Waajeed (scheduled), Tender Games and Joey Negro, Black Loops continues to be in high demand and has resulted in a packed DJ schedule taking him from South Africa to Australia, from the US to Asia as well as playing regularly in Europe and his home city of Berlin.

For his Something Special release Black Loops has treated us to three original
tracks (with a fourth added for the digital package) which will please his regular followers whilst showing us a development to his sound. His trademark shuffling beats, warm bouncing basslines and analogue pads are all present and correct. Tracks that feel deceptively simple and minimal enough to sound lovely on big sound systems, but which also offer enough depth and musicality to touch the soul and connect with on a deeper level. But… we can also hear some fresh sound design coming into play, punchy FM synths cutting through the mix, some more delicate melodies and rolling arrangements which unfold gently and draw you into their warm confines.

It has been a sublime journey. 5 years definitely means something. A time to reflect on what has been accomplished especially on a musical level. When original creative ideas come to fruition in ways beyond imagination, one can only be thankful and proud.

Thankful for all the people that have helped us along the way and proud of the philosophy we continued to carry on the last years. The label has always been a way to preserve the cultural legacy of housemusic.

Aron Volta came crashing into awareness from relative anonymity in 2019 when he became one of the bestselling deep house artists seemingly overnight. Leading up to this moment were stellar releases on Blind Vision, Madtech, and Pusher Records.

PIV frontman Prunk and label manager Chris Stussy gave the Northern Dutch producer a platform after being blown away by his demo. In the year that followed, Aron Volta became an oracle to many of the PIV artists and even worked as an engineer on some of the music. With various gigs at all the Amsterdam’s main clubs and venues like Bret, Shelter, The Loft, Thuishaven, De Marktkantine and a residency at Groove Control, this has made them a sort after act with a full tour schedule.

Their ability to combine technical mixing and a versatile selection carries the quality to create movement upon any crowd. This in combination with a loyal fanbase, is why Kreutziger is popular among promotors. Their releases on Madtech, Hatch, Habits and Ladeep secured them an international following in Europe, the UK, the USA, South-America and Australia. Additionally, Last year they have been touring through South-America (Brazil and Argentina).

Kreutziger spends a lot of time in their own studio. With a strict production schedule a number of releases are planned for the course of this year. Releases are expected on renowned labels such as Avotre, Inermu, HedZup, Ewax and PIV, to name a few.
