Having been featured on several past AIH releases, we return again to musical mystros and all-round-good-guys Best Friends. They’ve previously dominated cassette tape, CD/photo book and pizza box formats so we were running low on ideas of how to get these guys out .. obviously vinyl was a natural and long deserved progression.

And if vinyl wasn’t enough for you, the band have put together a comic that will be included with each 7” (which by the way are a lovely frosted colour). All the artwork is put together by Lew Currie of Nai Harvest.

"Happy Anniversary / Nosebleeds" is presented as a double AA single - the former starting slow, teasing a glimpse towards a more mature side of the band before morphing its way into a heroic climax and unleashing a true summer anthem. "Nosebleeds" is an audible cross-country train that doesn’t even have time to stop at Salisbury, taking you exactly where you want to be before you finish your packed lunch.

Bruising formed late last year after singer and guitarist Naomi Baguley spotted Ben Lewis wearing a Perfect Pussy t-shirt in a Leeds nightclub. Bonding over a mutual love of all things fuzzy, they began messaging voice memos from their phones back and forth until, finally, they got together in the same room and started writing some songs. Since then their infectious, ear worm, fuzz pop has gained them acclaim from the NME, DIY and even Radio 1's Huw Stephens, as well as being described by GoldFlakePaint as 'The best new guitar band in the country'.

Thomas has allowed us to share this track as a musical apology for the delay with the Gorgeous Bully / Something Anorak split 7" that was due out in June. Due to extreme delays at the pressing plant, frustratingly we won't have the records until the end of September. This is obviously horrible for us, the bands and of course anyone that pre-ordered. 'Never Lonely' is the first single to be taken from Cole Kinsler's album titled Big Sky. Out 26/08 on cassette via Super Fan 99 (EU) & limited CD via Dust Etc (US)

Listening to Space Mountain feels like being wrapped in a warm blanket after coming in from a freezing winters eve which naturally makes this a perfect summer release. The reason for this is, in truth Super Fan have never coped well in the summer heat, it's just not the weather we are accustomed to here in London. Call us miserable but we often miss those winter bus journeys home from college, rain hammering down on the steamed up windows while the records on our walkmans let us drift off to another time and place. In Big Sky we have a new favourite soundtrack in waiting. The 9 tracks which make up 'Big Sky’ bring to mind 90s Merge faves such as Neutral Milk Hotel and The Magnetic Fields or a country inflected Alex G.

Initially inspired by the DIY music he discovered during college, Cole has been recording and self releasing an album every year since 2013. Big Sky marks his first full international release and he intends to continue the project in whichever direction his inspirations take him.

The first 25 copies of the cassette release will include a square one sided lathe cut vinyl of ’Never Lonely’ As always these will be one copy per person and you’ll have to be quick to grab one. Never Lonely features guest vocals from Ava Trilling of New Jersey band Forth Wanderers. Pre-order starts on 15/08.
