Born in 1987 in the North of France, François has been immersed in electronic music since a young age.
His debut in Mix took place in 2001, and it was quite natural that he turned to composition in 2005.
The year 2019 marks his emergence under the pseudonym "Fhase 87"

After a few months and numerous releases on different labels, he acquired the support of many DJs from the Techno scene such as
Laurent Garnier, Dave Clarke, Ben Klock, Perc, Cleric, Anetha, Dax.J or Robert Hood, to name but a few.

This is followed by various dates in Clubs, Events & Festivals (France, Belgium, Spain and Germany) alongside renowned artists such as Ben Sims, Marco Bailey, Tommy Four Seven, Rebekah, Felicie, David Meiser, Jay Lumen.…

In 2021, he launched his label "French Loops", a series of Raw Techno/Tribal tracks that will mark many artists and listeners around the world.

His sets blend Hardgroove , Detroit and Chicago Techno,are known for their energy and ability to engage audiences.

SPURI follows a genuine and eclectic path, traversing different underground electronic music genres, from house to techno.  

With characteristics of a futuristic and avant-garde artist, his work carries a strong "old school" influence, resulting in a darker, organic sound with touches of acid electro, well-chosen acapellas, and always accompanied by powerful basslines.  

A DJ/Producer and Audio Engineer, SPURI has been crafting a distinctive identity in his productions, maintaining a pure connection with music. From playing in a band during his teenage years to collecting records since the age of 15, these experiences helped shape his passion for electronic music and define his musical journey. Despite his young age, he grew alongside the emergence of the Brazilian electronic music scene, gaining an impressive background.  

In recent years, he has reached new heights of public recognition, ranking among the world's top 72 artists in his style in 2019 and becoming a renowned Brazilian producer in both the national and international markets. He achieved the Top 1 spot in Melodic House and Techno in 2018 and had the fifth best-selling Techno release worldwide in 2020 with Lions EP. Other standout releases over the decade include Belarus, a track considered by the media as one of the national scene's hits, alongside LK and Pontapé by DJ Marky and Renato Cohen, respectively.  

With remarkable releases on respected labels such as Unrilis, Tronic, Kneded Pains, Dolma, Sprout, Sincopat, Kittball, Click, Great Stuff, Happy Techno, Controversia, Flashmob, Hotstage, and many others, there is undoubtedly a genuine connection between SPURI and his art. Through his energetic performances and the impact of his music, he continues to leave a lasting mark on the electronic music scene.

This eleventh podcast of the Elata Series features michael ius, a Romanian artist, a classical guitarist who turned into a techno producer.
He started producing techno in 2019 and developed his sound through constant experimentation.
Now, with releases on Maloer Records, WSNWGBTZ, OUT OF PLACE, SYXT, Duplicity, and his own IUS series on Bandcamp, he is supported by underground artists and labels.

We are extremely happy to have Michael on our Series. When we discovered his music, we directly felt a special connection with what we want to express and played countless of his tracks during our different events. We also had the chance to meet him and we discovered a lovely human on top of a very talented producer and we are sure we will have much ore collaboration in the future.

Berlin-based Toni Dextor is all about the story you can tell with music. Using sound oscillations to
shape the atmosphere of a room,
building up the intense energy at peak time and guiding audiences through mind-melting breakdowns
are aces you’ll find up his sleeve. Unsurprisingly, his decision to become a DJ was inspired by years of
clubbing. Not content with simply selecting the music however, Toni started producing in 2018 and has
since released on some of the finest electronic labels, local and international, such as
made of Concrete, Planet Rhythm, Adroit and OFF Recordings.
Toni Dextor's style is characterized by playing what he calls “functional” techno - you can always count on
an atmosphere that makes you forget the time. In his productions he draws on memories and revives
familiar feelings.
Channeling these relatable yet unique experiences from his own club-goer adventure into his own tracks is
essential for Toni. These elements, combined with his ongoing
experimentation with production techniques make him one of the figures to keep an eye out as he
continues to push through the rungs of the music scene.

Batman (DJ & Promoter) A fixture in the underground music scene, Batman’s journey as a DJ and promoter began at the age of 16, when he first got behind the turntables. Drawn to the raw, hypnotic energy of Acid Techno, he quickly immersed himself in the world of fully-loaded 303 sounds. His early performances at CROSSED in Szczecin marked the start of a career that would take him to some of Europe’s most iconic venues, including the legendary 414 in Brixton (London) and Union in Vauxhall. His roots also stretch to the underground rave scene of London, where he played some of the greatest free parties.
As the years passed, Batman’s sound evolved from the fierce intensity of Acid Techno to a more groove-driven, hypnotic approach—one that resonates deeply with those who seek immersive, mind-altering rhythms. Over his two-decade-long career, he has shared the decks with some of the most respected names in the scene, including Sterling Moss, Aaron Liberator, Patrick DSP, Bad Boy Pete, Jethro ThermoBee, Billy Nasty, Jeff Amadeus, Tassid, Marcello Perri, and James Kinetec, among many others.
In recent years, Batman has focused his energy on a new project—a podcast dedicated to uncovering the hidden gems of the underground music world. With this new venture, he shines a spotlight on the artists and stories that have remained in the shadows, revealing the forgotten, yet influential sounds that define the true essence of underground culture.
