Here we have another remix of a classic. This time it's German producers Double M and Bonebreaker's (aka Brooklyn Bounce) turn for some KrisP magic. This one used to be a 'Cinders' classic, and hopefully we can continue this legacy into 2021 and beyond.

DJs At Work (DJs@Work) have been active in the 'EuroDance' scene since 2001. One of their most successful tracks, 'Someday' was a remix in its own right, taking inspiration from German singer Nena's pop song, 'Irgendwie, Irgendwo, Irgendwann'. Although too commercial to be considered a true trance song, the catchy melody lends itself to a KrisP uplifting trance remix.

Impromptu remix of the 'Yeah Yeah Yeahs' track 'Heads Will Roll'. 

This one was by special request, and took me out of my comfort zone since it is effectively an indie rock song. It has a catchy riff though, which converted well to a tech-trance arp. Always up for a challenge!

Mark McCabe's Maniac 2000 requires no introduction. Despite the famous Mark McCabe version being released in 2000, the original backing track featuring vocals by Shelley Bukspan actually dates back to 1995. The song is much older than this however, with Michael Sembello's original being released in 1983 and featuring in the movie Flashdance. 

I have lost count of the number of times I have played Maniac 2000 at gigs over the years, hence the obvious next step was to remix it in my own style. Enjoy!

Again this could be considered a remix of a remix since Cascada borrowed the chorus from  Maggie Reilly's 1992 single of the same name.

Felix Da Housecat is mostly known for house music, and has worked closely with famous artists such as Madonna, Britney Spears and Kylie Minogue. 

Silver Screen (Shower Scene) was released back in 2001, featuring lyrics from French vocalist Miss Kitten. It was particularly successful, with remixes used in Midnight Club 2, and SSX 3. 

Despite numerous remixes being produced over the years, The KrisP remix is the first to transform the track into a hard/tech trance floor-filler.

Another bootleg of a EuroDance classic. Freed From Desire goes back to 1996, and was Italian artist Gala's most successful track by far. 

This has one has techy arps, a driving bassline, and a heavy drop.

Over the past year, I have been getting increasingly more appreciative of melodic techno, thanks in part to 'Push The Tempo'. Such a great way to build suspenseful energy in a set. 

This is my first creation in the melodic techno genre, so please go easy! 

Jumping on the 'Stranger Things' bandwagon, I thought I'd try my hand at remixing Kate Bush's, 'Running Up That Hill (A Deal with God)', which is a special track in its own right. Interested to hear your feedback.

Had a bit of a love/heat relationship with this track in recent years. Still a dancefloor filler, after 22 years, though the lack of modern kick and bass leaves something to be desired. 

Took the bull by the horns and made a kick and bass track on ableton, based on my recent release "Total Takedown" and mashed it up live with the original track. Energy increase is phenomenal when compared with the original! Cant wait to try this out for real!

Sia is a vocal powerhouse, with her melodic range spanning at least five octaves. Her phrasing and tone are original and instantly identifiable. 

Move Your Body, wasn't one of her particularly successful tracks, reaching only 59 in the UK. I recently stumbled across the Alan Walker remix by accident, and I knew it would make a great base for another KrisP bootleg.

I asked my daughter what remix she would like me to do next, and she picked Lady Gaga's Poker Face. As a pop synth song in G# minor, it lends itself well to the KrisP style. Good choice Gracie! 

Here we have a real hard hitter, complete with reverse bass, chopped vocals, ripping acid and a few surprise drops!

The vocals from the original track are woven into the mix, adding to the drama and intensity of the piece. This bootleg began as a mashup, but quickly evolved into a full-blown remix as I worked on combining blk's "Enter the Dragon" and Billy Gillies' "Lagoon". I had a hunch that the two tracks would blend together seamlessly with a slight key adjustment, and as I delved deeper into the creative process, the remix took on a life of its own. Taking you back to 1996, the original of this was a favourite of mine during my teenage years. 

Heart of Gold was first recorded and released on Force & Styles album All over the UK (1996) as a Happy Hardcore track, with the vocals by Jenna. It was then released as a single in 1998 with vocals by Kelly Llorenna.

This is a bouncy donk remix which captures the original vibe, while adding that KrisP magic!

Sticking to that oldskool happy-hardcore theme, next up is another exclusive KrisP Remix. 

Paul Nineham & Jim Sullivan aka Brisk & Trixxy released this in 1997, it has seen various reworks over the years, featuring on the infamous "Bonkers" compilation albems, a staple of the 90s happy hardcore theme. 

This remix blends the oldskool happy hardcore ambience with reverse bass, trancey leads and a donk thrown in for good measure!

When I learned of the heart-wrenching news last week about the passing of Ultrasonic's Mallorca Lee, just weeks after his cancer diagnosis, I felt a sense of loss coupled with an urge to pay homage. As I started my DJ journey in the 90s, UltraSonic's vinyls were a cornerstone of my collection. Mallorca Lee's energy and infectious enthusiasm on stage were nothing short of inspirational, leaving a mark on my heart and craft. 

In seeking a way to honour his legacy, the choice of UltraSonic's "Angels" for a tribute remix felt appropriate for the circumstances.

The lyrics "In my dreams, We will be together forever, Flying higher" from the track, beautifully remind us of Mallorca Lee's impact. These words make me feel like Mallorca's spirit and his music will always be with us, even though he's no longer here. Mallorca's dreams and the music he made will continue to inspire and lift people up, long after he's gone.

RIP Mallorca Lee!

💣🧨  It was about 20 years ago when I first heard this mashup of Eurythmics's “Sweet Dreams” vs Eminem's “Without Me”. 🎤 A nice chilled 115 BPM track, with no drama. I happened to stumble across it again the other day, when it hit me - this needs a remix! 💡So, I went to work: added some punchy reverse bass, sliced in some vocal chops, added a touch of acid, and cranked the tempo up to 155 BPM. ⏫ Mission accomplished. ✅  💣🧨

Eminem - Sweet Dreams Without Me (KrisP Reverse Bass Edit)

'Can You Dig It' was originally released by German duo JamX & De Leon (aka DuMonde) back in 2002. Played often by Judge Jules, Scot Project and Fergie, back in the day, it could still be considered a Hard Trance anthem.

This KrisP Tech Trance remix changes the vibe slightly and puts a new spin on the track, making it relevant to today's audiences.

KrisP is a multi-genre DJ/Producer in electronic dance music, with focus primarily in the Trance genre. Based in Northern Ireland, KrisP has produced many popular reworks, bringing his own unique style to classic tracks. Recently KrisP has been targeting labels, with a number of his own creations now available for purchase.

Under the alias of SirK, KrisP started on his DJing journey at the age of 15, with a set of Numark belt drive turntables, and a mixer that was as basic as they come. 
A wise man once said, "If you can beatmatch on belt drives, you can beatmatch on anything."

KrisP went on to run a regular club night at an 'infamous' local bar, alongside Jason B, until it's unfortunate closure in 2014.

Fast forward to 2020, and KrisP decided to get back on the scene, developing both the DJ and production aspects of his skillset. 

Since the beginning of 2022, KrisP has been hosting his own radio show on Ice Radio Dublin. The Push The Tempo (PTT) brand was established in early 2021 as a genre agnostic brand and has grown from strength-to-strength, inclusive of DJs of all musical tastes and backgrounds. PTT radio showcases some of the best multi-genre talent via a one hour guestmix at the end of each show.
