"Live @ Easy Street" was recorded live on November 16th, 2013 at Easy Street in Hallowell, Maine. Hallowell, Maine, a small but unique city located in Mid-Maine, boasts a liberal population with a very high ratio of talented live acts who perform almost daily. However, DJing was NOT appreciated so much until  it recently emerged as an art-form in Hallowell. The event on 11.16.13 follows an almost two year hiatus from a year long DJ Residency at Easy Street by Jack MF; and, included DJ "Chewy Crates of Records" and DJ "A-Philly8" on the line up that evening. Finding the perfect spot between those who prefer live acts, those with a virginal ear to Underground Dance Music, and a need to sweep people off their feet and onto the dance floor, this mix comes in two parts; "Easy Side" (the opening hour) featuring slower Pop Tunes, some with Beat Juggling and Deep Nu Disco, and "Hype Side" (the closing hour) featuring more upbeat Remixes of Pop, Funk & Boogie, giving way to Classic Deep & Garage House.

This is just a rough draft for you to decide if you like the arrangement. I had to edit parts of The Original with The Hot Tracks Mix; which, means sound quality was noticeably different. I did some quick sound adjustments to blend them better; but, I'm saving that to redo even more accurately once you give me the go on the version you prefer.

Inspired by "Tracy Goes to New York", Kristan Goes to Atlanta is comprised of records accumulated over the summer of 2010 from a cardboard box marked “FREE” out in front of Absurd Records in Portland, Maine. Dozens of passed up white labels, test pressings, and used vinyl that were chosen either by instinct, previous knowledge or were already owned by me, were brought home and reviewed. The tracks that bombed were completely outnumbered by a multitude of excellent condition classics that would replace older copies, and even more tracks I had never previously owned but had always wanted. Having already intended to dedicate a CD to Kristan Fucci, (who would be leaving Maine and returning to Atlanta in August) relevant tracks were selected for both aesthetic and lyrics, and the result was an eclectic FOUR CD SET of mostly Vintage House from 1987 to 1997. Disc 4 of 4 features a slow & funky R&B House set, 80's Classic House set, a Philly Soul Edit and more.

Having worn out our interest in the party at the State Theater, Kim, Kristan and I agreed to reconverge at my place to have our own party. One thing that resulted was this recording of Tech House, Acid & Electro, woven personally  for Kim and Kristan, and topped off with a chill Downtempo ending.

Novelty, (Side A: Conservation of & Side B: Ingression of) was originally recorded on cassette in 1998, and features a few New Releases from that time (mostly House with Techno Elements) mixed with comparable tracks released ten or more years prior. The "Theory of Novelty" refers to points in Time/Space Relativity, or the interconnectedness where different paths in time "reconnect" in a different space, thereby giving new definition to matter through perspective or "imagination". What was once "The Past" now becomes relevant to "The Future", perhaps in a backwards or reverse fashion. Conservation of Novelty is where imagination perceives something "new"; while Ingression of Novelty is where everything is "returning" toward a coalescence simply by continuing to move forward. Novelty the cassette demonstrates how this same philosophy applies in Music, especially of course in Underground Music.
