KAYE started playing music at the tender age of 5 when she first placed her small fingers on a piano. After a few years of taking lessons, she gave up the piano as she didn't enjoy practicing and felt it was too hard. However, that feeling didn't last for long - She developed a passion for music and refining her craft, and it only grew stronger. At the age of 14, she went back to taking piano lessons and started writing original songs. She wrote her first heartfelt song on the piano at age 15 called "Who I am". She was more interested in singing in her teenage years, and started taking lessons whilst using the piano to accompany her voice. Kaye spent her first 5 years of vocal lessons learning from Young Talent Time's Steven Zammit. She performed a lot in high school years and was noticed in singing competitions around Melbourne.
KAYE’s original music in her teenage years reflected typical teenage angst and wild emotional states. She wrote meaningful lyrics, and knew music would become more than just a hobby. In year 12 she realized she wanted to make a career out of music. She applied to study music at the Box Hill Institute of Performing arts in 2008. After being accepted into the school, KAYE improved her skills in vocal technique, songwriting, improvisation, music theory and many more subjects which developed her as a musician. She now carries a Bachelor of Applied Music (Performance) majoring in vocals.
While studying music, KAYE was able to collaborate with many other artists, network and joined several bands including "NITESHIFT" where she and displayed a high level of singing and stage presence performing rock music from the 60s, 70s and 80s. 
She performed at private functions, weddings and corporate events with NITESHIFT as well as singing in a Motown 8 piece band, and as a backing vocalist for solo artists.
At the same time she released her first solo EP "Let the Music Never Die" in 2008. Her songs tell a story and her performances are unique raw vocals and melodic piano accompaniment. When she performs around Melbourne as a singer/songwriter, she is often described as "soulful" and "unique".
KAYE was a semi-finalist in the 2014 World Championship of Performing Arts in Los Angeles. WCOPA is known as the only "Olympics for the Performing Arts". She was fortunate enough to be selected to represent Australia among 42 other countries competing. She won a silver medal for her involvement in the group song and dance production, as well as a bronze medal for her performance of her original song "Drowning in your arms". 
KAYE currently performs around Melbourne at weddings, private functions, and corporate events whilst continuing to write and perform original music. She is also a private vocal and piano teacher, helping others achieve their musical goals - whether the students aim to perform, learn music theory or just play music for the fun of it! KAYE is an approachable and passionate teacher and thrives on giving back to her students.
KAYE has been studying the Estill vocal method for several years, and in 2011 she completed the Level 1 and 2 course "Figures for Voice Control and Figure Combinations for Six Voice Qualities" and completed her "Certificate in Figure Proficiency" in 2013. She is currently working towards the next certification in the Estill Model, and will soon become a Certified Master Teacher.
