Written for the Sentinel Creatives upcoming publication "Lovecraft in a Time of Madness", an anthology of short stories inspired by the works of H.P. Lovecraft. 

This piece was loosely written for the short story "In the Flat Fields" by Scotty Milder. A story of hitchhiking, strangers, and mysterious comet that struck the earth.  

I collaborated heavily with my brother on this piece, who was instrumental in writing the piano parts. I think it captures the eerie  nature of the story, and the terrifying climax.

I bought myself a new soundcard, so quickly put together this idea I've had for a while. 
The original is fantastic, I just felt it needed something, "more"...

Take Yours, I'll Take Yours Too (Matthew Mole Cover)

This is probably the first song I ever heard to feature a 7-string. So naturally, when I eventually got one, I learnt this song straight away. Months later, I've now done a full vocal and guitar cover! 

This song is definitely one of my favorite Muse songs. Vocally its just insane, and then the guitar work is incredibly fun to play.  

Yes, I know I spelt it "Erised", it's a play on the whole "Mirror of Erised" thing from Harry Potter.

This is a track which forms part of a project Zachary and I have been wanting to get going for several years now. 
More details about the project will come in the near future.  

This track was recorded at City Varsity as part of a 2nd year sound engineering students project where they have to record a band. This was Matthew Bernstein's first time recording a band, so some issues were encountered.  He couldn't complete the mastering and mixing process, so to prevent the tracks going to waste, I decide to mix it myself. 
Here's to my first proper attempt at mixing live instruments :D

The Face

This was written for my friend in Norway who has an amazing Instagram page dedicated to her knitting (check out @woolill on instagram). She often posts videos of her work and requested that I write a little tune to go along with the one video. Here it is. The picture is a still from the video, and shows me in Norway wearing one of her amazing sweaters!

My old band, Past Haunts, recorded acoustic versions of a couple of songs before we decided to call it quits. I spent hours mixing them and didn't want them to go to waste because I'm really proud of what we did and accomplished. So here are two of them, for better or for worse!

I've been working on my arranging and composition again. Here's an example of what I can do in terms of a film/game setting. 

The setting for this particular piece is a fantastical land, where a priest lives atop a Bell Tower and falls in love with an injured woman who he takes in cares for. This particular theme highlights the viewers first site of the Bell Tower as it rises up beyond an intimidating forest, in which all manner of darkness lurks. 

Best listened to loud.

I initially wrote the piano part and melody at the start of this piece, and was content to leave it at that. It was then suggested to me that I try make a complete piece out of it. I thought a Synthwave type approach would work well with this song. 

I envision this as music for a game soundtrack or similar sci-fi futuristic film.
