Ben Böhmer recruits HAAi, niina, Matador and MEUTE to remix his sophomore album ‘Begin Again’ alongside The Blaze, Barry Can’t Swim and Rezident. 

With over 40M streams to date, a fully sold-out tour across 30 cities and 35,000 tickets sold, ‘Begin Again’ and Ben continue to impress the electronic music community. His album has been extensively supported across BBC Radio 1, with plays from Danny Howard, Pete Tong, Clara Amfo, Sara Story and Sian Eleri, ‘Beyond Beliefs’ was the most played track on SiriusXM Chill in 2021 and Ben’s summer has never looked busier with over 21 festivals across three continents.  

On ‘Begin Again’ (Remixed), Australian-born, London-based producer and DJ Teneil Throssel, AKA HAAi, delivers an intricate, techno-infused rework of ‘Escalate’ characterised by her signature heavy-bassline sound. HAAi started her career playing weekly shows at London’s Phonox, and was soon after booked to play on the iconic Genosys stage at Glastonbury, rapidly gaining devoted followers through her self-described “chaotic” DJ sets. 

With the newly announced album ‘Baby, We’re Ascending’ accompanied by a cover feature on Mixmag, and the release of ‘Lights Out’, a collaboration with Fred again.. and Romy which has won stamp of approval from NME, Pitchfork, The Fader, Billboard and DJ Mag, accumulating over 5M streams on Spotify alone, HAAi’s star is burning bright in 2022. 

‘Begin Again (Remixed)’ also includes fresh reworks from Irish electronic DJ & live act Matador who takes ‘Fade To Blue’ into dance-floor territory; up-and-coming London-based act niina, who crafts an energetic remix of ‘Once’, and last but not least, the self-described ‘techno marching band’ MEUTE close off the project with their soft, quasi-orchestral rework of the album’s track title ‘Begin Again’.

An electronic music singer-songwriter? For many, those words do not fit together. For Monolink, they do. The multi-instrumentalist, singer, producer and performer from Berlin mixes the two genres into a hypnotic hybrid. House rhythms and electronic synth sounds meet organic basslines, Monolink's haunting voice and empathetic songwriting.

"Father Ocean" is another great track from his debut album "AMNIOTIC" which was released in April.

After remixes by Patrice Bäumel ("Sirens") and Tale of Us ("Swallow"), Ben Böhmer takes over and delivers a quality remix. Ben is one of dance music’s brightest stars, 25 year old Berlin producer and live act has had a monumental year. Following releases on Anjunadeep and his own Ton Töpferei label, he's been named as one of Billboard Magazine’s `Ones To Watch`.

After a successful festival summer (Burning Man, Lightning in a Bottle, Fusion and many more), Monolink started his tour -  for the first time with three-headed band on the stage - mid November. All dates of that tour are completely sold out already.

Berlin based producer and live artist Ben Böhmer has risen through the Anjunadeep ranks to become a breakout star of the past 18 months, amassing almost 40 million streams, picking up BBC Radio 1 support from Annie Mac and Pete Tong, including an ‘Essential New Tune’, and being featured in Billboard’s ‘Ones To Watch’. 

In addition to running his own fledgling label Tön Töpferei, Ben has put out singles on Anjunadeep and acclaimed remixes for Monolink and Jan Blomqvist, both of whom now feature on Ben’s debut LP.

Ben’s early releases on tastemaker labels Bade and Keller drew comparison to revered producers Recondite and Francesco Tristano - dark tracks dotted with classical influence, featuring haunting piano lines and discordant strings. Not long afterwards, Ben lost a close family member, and both his life and his music changed course. 

Whilst overcoming this loss, Ben found solace in music. 

The moody and reflective sounds of Ben’s early work made way for brighter and more melodic music, keeping the depth and texture, but changing the tone from darkness to light. Finding a sense of hope and optimism in uplifting emotions and euphoric melodies, Ben's debut album ‘Breathing’ marks the closing of a chapter in Ben’s life, the culmination of a period of heartache and recovery, and a coming of age as an artist.  

Opening track ‘In Memoriam’ is an emotive tribute, blending powerful strings with stirring vocal samples. Title track and lead single ‘Breathing’ with collaborators Nils Hoffmann and Malou follows. A long-awaited highlight in Ben’s live shows over the past year, 'Breathing' layers Malou’s delicate voice above swung percussion and hard-hitting synths.

An avid collaborator, Ben is also joined on the album by two further breakout German stars, vocalist Monolink who features on ‘Black Hole’ and multi-instrumentalist Jan Blomqvist who lends his vocals to ‘Decade’. 

Through the album Ben explores a range of emotions, from the hopeful ‘Hunting’ with Jonah, to energetic instrumental ‘Maelstrom’ through to the hard-hitting ‘Wall Of Strings, which samples The Cinematic Orchestra. 

Following the release of the album in November, Ben will be taking his live show on an extensive world tour - dates and information to be revealed in the coming months.

‘Breathing’ is available to pre-order now, digitally, on CD and on limited edition 2x12” white vinyl, due for release 22 November 2019.
