Techjeß - 25 - Niagara Falls, Canada - DJ and expat who was living in Berlin, Germany until late 2020. His passion for techno began in Toronto back in 2016, where the primary focus there is on deep house and tech house. There was something about a techno show coming to Toronto that made him get chills in his body, as it was a rarity in the city. Knowing that his passion could not progress as well in Canada, a couple years went by and the one-way ticket to the techno capital Berlin was booked.

After moving to the German capital, he was instantly submerged into the underground rave culture powered by high BPM. With weekdays and weekends in and out of bunkers, abandoned warehouses and famous Berlin clubs like the Tresor, Berghain, and Sisyphos to name a few, his inspiration was growing day by day to do what he loves.

When he returned to Canada, he kick started his DJ career with releases on labels Sekta, Concrete Berlin and Techno.Germany, showing Canada his take on the Berlin sound. Mixing hard, industrial, raw and hypnotic techno, TECHJEß ensures to produce a hard hitting, high energy set every time.

Tokyo’s Risa Taniguchi returns to Chris Liebing’s CLR with the ‘Break It’ EP 29th August 2025. The two-tracker follows her previous outings on the label, 2024’s ‘Wakes From Coma’ and ‘So Loud’, which earned support from Dave Clarke, Kelly Lee Owens, and Luke Slater, and 2022’s ‘Acid Flesh’, in collaboration with Black Asteroid.

Title track ‘Break It’ sees Kneaded Pains, Second State, Mind Medizin, and core CLR artist Risa Taniguchi open with high-intensity built around pounding kicks and a searing synth stab. The tension is palpable as icy hats and bold low-end drive forward beneath evocative spoken vocals culminating in a dark, strobe-lit roller primed to lock in peak-time floors. There’s no respite with ‘Give Me Up’, a tense and relentless follow-up laced with razor-sharp percussion, unresolved loops, and a monstrous, rumbling bottom end. It’s precision-tooled Techno, designed to hit hard, both physically and mentally.

Founded by influential techno lynchpin Chris Liebing in 1999 and reemerging in 2021 after a five-year hiatus, Create Learn Repeat (CLR) has hosted a range of artists like Shlomi Aber, Dubfire, Flug, Bjarki, DJ Dextro and more while also focusing on developing newer acts in the scene such as The Southern, and Klint.

Kristonov was born and raised in Zagreb, Croatia. At the tender age of 14 he was introduced by a friend to his first techno party featuring Fernanda Martins and immediately fell in love with the hard techno sound.

After around a year he began to DJ at home, at some private parties that he and his neighborhood friends organized and then into his hometown club. However, he found that his tastes were changing and began to look for something different. This lead him to discover Dark Techno.

Kristonov is keen to keep developing his own style and presence in the underground scene and to connect/collab with artists who share the same passion for Dark Techno.
